The esteemed Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan graciously sent teams from the Amity International Schools to enable students to take on world class competition and prove their mettle. Amity International school, Sector 46 ,Gurgaon team returned with a whopping haul of ten medals, two in the junior category and eight in the senior. Participating in events such as Debate, Collaborative writing, Scholars Challenge, Scholars Bowl, against some ingenious, erudite and cosmopolitan competition, Prisha Singh of class X rose to eminence, winning plaudits in four events, Team Honor Roll Yale Qualifiers, Team Honor Roll in Scholar’s Bowl, Top Scorer from the school and the meritorious Honor Medal in literature the prestigious prize for English. Angad Singh and Bhavika Anand of Class XI followed up this unprecedented success with med- als for Team Honor Roll, Yale Qualifiers and Team Honor Roll in Scholar’s Bowl, in senior cate- gory. These exemplary achievements of the senior students brought the coveted medal tally to eight. This was not all as Shreya Dasgupta of Class VIII brought up the rear end with two medals in Collaborative writing in junior category.

HIGHLIGHTS OF CLASS XII RESULTS -2013-14 Amity International School, Sec-46 , Gurgaon feels proud to announce its CBSE class XII re-sults for the academic session 2013-14. The students added feathers to the school cap by achieving stupendous 100% result. Distinctions were bagged by 84% students whereas 43% of them scored 90% and above marks in different subjects. The Schools’ average is above 90%. Laurels were brought to the school by Shyla Nehru, Meghna Negi and Aparna Joshi of the Science Stream who were accoladed with the top honours for having scored 97.4% along with Vaibhavi Vishwas Thakur for scoring 97.4% in the Commerce Stream. Shyla Nehru and Anushka Aggarwal came out with flying colours for scoring 100% marks in Mathematics whereas Ishita Taneja, Chaarvi Aggarwal, Arushi Bhargava and Meghna Negi scored 100% in Chemistry. The Management, Principal and Teachers of AIS-46 extends a heartiest congratulations to all the students. We owe a special gratitude to our Chairperson

Class X Highlights (2013-14) Amity International School, Sector 46,Gurgaon came out with flying colours yet again for class X with 100% CBSE result for class X for the academic session 2013-14 with the school average touching 9. Doing full justice to the CCE programme implemented by CBSE, AIS, Sec- 46, integrated academics with co scholastic activities and gave full emphasis to the value based studies ensuring the holistic development of the students. The school’s brilliant performance could be gauged with 54 students scoring 10 CGPA. More

than 100 students secured A1 or A2 grade. The Chairperson of Amity Group of Schools, Dr.

(Mrs.) Amita Chauhan and the Principal Mrs Arti Chopra lauded the brilliant performance of

the students and the hard work put in by all the teachers . They also wished them luck for all

their future endeavours.

Vaishali Tikko(X) and Yatin Gupta(XI) won the High Commendation award in TISMUN’14 at Ta-gore International School, Vasant Vihar for repre-senting as delegates in the committee of UNHCR.

Vaishali Tikoo of class 10 won an high commendation award in her committee - The All India Social Activists Meet. She was representing the Chief Secretary of the Delhi govern-ment.

Diksha Chillar of class XI F bagged fourth position in Fourth NRAT (National Ranking Tournament) held at Hyderabad winning a cash prize of Rs.4000/- and is also se-lected for 5th and the final round of NRAT.

Musckaan Chauhan sets the

benchmark and got selected for playing the World and Asian cham-pionships to be held at Rosario, Ar-gentina in November and Hinig, China in September 2014 respec-tively . Musckaan also got a cash prize worth Rs 2,45,000

Under the blessings and guidance of the Honorable Chairperson Dr (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Amity International School, Sector – 46 Gurgaon had organized summer camp for the students of classes I-VIII. The two week Camp Verano commenced with infinite fun and enthralling ex-citement .Children were mesmerized with that EXTRA FUN that school gave them. Far from the madding crowd Camp Verano was set in the calm and serene campus of AIS Gur-gaon, Sector- 46 in the solitude of its summer vacation. The camp catered all indoor and out-door activities which were showcased in its splendor and glory in the grand finale. The Grand Finale event commenced with the lighting of the pious lamp followed by welcoming

the chief guest Ms Premlata Yadav, Head Primary Education, Gurgaon, by the Principal

Ms. Arti Chopra. The parents were invited to witness the confluence of creativity and confi-

dence of the children which included an exhibition , theatre performance on the play

“Cinderella and Matilda” Rock band, Yoga Presentation, Percussions – a Jugal Bandi,The Ren-

dezvous with Amity Chefs, Contemporary Dance, Ramp walk and the Musical theatre – All The

World’s a Stage. The show came to an end with the students and felicitators bidding adieu to

the event on a positive note to meet next season with greater ardor and zeal.

Camp Verano 2014

Workshops at Amity The school hosted summer training programme to empower teaching faculties in various areas like Multiple Intelligence, Stress Management, Value Education, Classroom Management alongwith integrating experiential learning. These sessions were conducted with subject teachers, coordinators alongwith external resource persons and they proved quite fruitful for effective learning.
