JunoRemake task

How has this task helped you with using editing software? This task has helped me learn new techniques on Adobe Premier that our preliminary task didn’t explore. For example in this production I have learnt how to UNLINK clips from their sounds and layer music and crop clips.

Also I experimented by trying to find filters and colours that will make the opening look more like the original by turning up brightness etc.

This will help me with my final project as it has given me more techniques and skills to edit alone and independently with no help from experienced users. It has also allowed me to help my peers and give them advice.

How was the filming process?

The filming process, for my group, did not go as planned. We started to film without a defined schedule which led to us forgetting shots, not getting them exactly right and not knowing what we should be doing day to day.

Towards the end we came up with a rough schedule and then began to produce better shots and editing.

This will help me in my final project as it has made me realise just how important shooting schedules and day plans are! We will definitely make sure we create a shooting schedule before we begin to produce shots for our final piece.

How do you feel the opening sequence has came out?

Personally, I have many things in this project I am happy and satisfied with. Yet there are a couple of things I would change if went back to re-film.

Satisfied Dissatisfied

We managed to get the shots timed accurately- making the opening as close to the original.

Some shots are shaky- so if we was to re-film I would use a tripod to ensure the shots are still.

We managed to make good storyboards and planning in the build up to producing the task.

We could try and make the shots link up a lot better- try and film in places which will flow together rather than looking jumbled

We used a range of angles, shots and editing techniques to reach out desired outcome
