Children’s 2012 Summer Reading Program

Children ages six and younger may have books read to them by parents,

siblings, babysitters, etc. for a total of two hours a week.

Readers ages seven and older must read for a total of two hours a week.

Prizes include: books, stuffed animals, toys, and more!

There will be an end of the summer ice cream party for all who complete. It’s fun, it’s

easy, and you can do it all at your Iberia Parish Library! For more information and a list of rules, please stop by any branch of the library. A special thanks to our sponsors

the Friends of the Library.

It’s Monday, Funday, Craftday at your Iberia Parish Library. These fun filled craft

stations will be available at all branches of the Iberia Parish Library. Make a flying paper

rocket, a cardboard owl and more!

No registration is required, but the materials will be on a first-come-first-served basis to

ages 3 and older. Parental assistance is required for ages 6 and under. Most projects can

be finished in under 15 minutes.

Crafts Lectures

Book Club StorytimeS

Artists are invited to let their creativity flow as

the Martin Collection becomes available for

inspiration. Beginning August 15, images will be available for Photosynthesis V: The Grand Finale.

Participants will then be allowed to select up to

THREE copies from the Martin Collection to

begin their artistic journey. Each artist is allowed

to submit TWO completed creations to the Main

Library between October 29 and November 2; all

submissions will be featured in the exhibit that

will open on Thursday, November 15, 2012.

Watch for future announcements and further

information in our newsletter and local papers.

This will be the FINAL PHOTOSYNTHESIS,

so please plan to participate.
