FIESTA MEXICANA KID’S CORNER:

The Fiesta Mexicana Kid’s Corner will be open from 5pm

-9pm this year during the Fiesta. We’d like to thank those

that have already donated items and offered to volunteer,

we appreciate your kindness and generosity. If anyone is

interested in volunteering, you can visit the Sign Up Ge-

nius Website and register. If you’d rather call, please con-

you like to donate, our wish list includes: cans of pop,

Cómo debemos orar

Hemos dicho que orar es hablar, conversar con Dios, con Jesús, con la Virgen; por lo tanto pensemos ante todo quiénes son ellos y quién soy yo; enseguida vemos que la oración debe ser hu-milde y atenta, llena de confianza y perseverante; una y otra y otra vez, sin cansarnos; porque Ellos nos aman y lo pueden todo, y nosotros lo nece-sitamos mucho. Jesús nos dice: "Pidan y se les da-rá; busquen y encontrarán; llamen y se les abrirá; pues todo el pide; recibe; el que busca encuentra; y al que llame se le abrirá" (Mt 7, 7-9).

Esto quiere decir que el fruto de la oración es se-guro, porque tiene la promesa del Señor y nunca es inútil, si pedimos como debemos pedir.

¿Cómo debemos orar?

Debemos orar con humildad, atención confianza y perseverancia.

¿Cómo enseñó Jesús a sus discípulos a orar?

Jesús enseñó a sus discípulos a orar con fe viva y corazón puro, con humildad y constancia, y

pidiendo en su nombre.

¿Qué debemos pedir en la oración?

En la oración debemos pedir principalmente la gloria de Dios y su Reinado, el perdón de nuestros pecados, la salvación eterna y por cualquier otra

necesidad.

¿Tiene especial eficacia ante Dios la oración litúr-gica?

Si, la oración litúrgica tiene especial eficacia ante Dios, porque es la oración pública y oficial de la

Iglesia.

PARISH LIFE ICSC STEWARDSHIP CONFERENCE REGION IX PARISH SCHOLARSHIP-DEADLINE JULY 31ST Pastors, The International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) will host its 55th annual conference from September 17th through 20th, in Atlanta, GA. Our Archdiocese is located in ICSC Region IX. Region IX would like to send as many participants as pos-sible to the conference. To assist this effort, schol-arships will be available to the Region to cover the cost of registration for those wishing to attend. The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is eligi-ble for one scholarship. Please note the scholar-ship will cover the full cost ($499.00) only if regis-tered by July 31st, after which the price of regis-tration increases. Mass with Prayers for Healing to be held at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, 3601 SW 17th Street, on Thursday, June 29th, at 7:00pm., sponsored by Glory to God Community. Father Greg Hammes, pastor at Most Pure Heart, will be our celebrant. Confessions will be offered from 6:00pm to 6:50pm. Fr. Hammes will also offer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. SUMMER TRAVELING Fr. Chontos is helping us with the English Masses as Fr. Reñe travels to Chicago with an OLG Mex-ican Family. I am very grateful that Fr. Chontos is always happy to come back to OLG to help us when he is needed. Please welcome him warmly and enjoy his short mass!

The 3rd order at St. Augustine Caronilla Cor-porate Mass and meeting will be held Sunday, June 26th , beginning at 7:30pm meeting will

be held following the mass in the church base-ment.
