Ninety per cent of the Coffee grown in the Islands is first grade-tho- ugh
some is poorer than others. 10 per cent is cheap Coffee, and is
readily sold to cheap people without advertising. It is to sell the better
grades that we advertise here. First grades are sub-divid- ed into No. 1
and No. 1 hand-picke- d, then again into new and old crop one, two or
three years old. cr even older: but it is at its best at about three to four
years for strength and aroma.
New Coffee can be had at any time of most any dealer: it is the old
Coffee choice OLD CROP that is hard to get. This we make a special-
ty of by ageing it ourselves one, two and three years. Machinery has its
part in hand-picke- d Coffee, but to be choice it must be as stated hand-picke- d,
every sour and black bean picked out by hand. It can not be
choice unless this is done.
