Web Site: Still looking for a person to take over maintenance of the web site.
High School Racers: John brought the Monthly accounting for 2018 and 2019.
Some discussion ensued.
He will bring the 2020 budget to the next meeting. May increase the scholarship to $1000 or have 2 at $500. Our
goal is to give this to high school programs, not to make money or build up a cash reserve.
Talking with Kyle now regarding flyers to print for taking to schools and car shows beginning in March.
There will be no awards banquet where we can present the Juggers trophies to the High School Class winners as we
did last year.
April 15 is High School night. We are paying for all high school racers at this race. At all races up to April 15 there will
be flyers passed out with tech cards at gate to all racers and spectators announcing the special night. We will be
inviting Top the Cops people and the cops to help us celebrate our high school racers.
We will be awarding the 2019 Championship trophies and $50 Visa cards to the top 4 finishers in the High School
Class. Kyle will be stopping the racing for 5 minutes for our ceremony.
At the end of the night, we will also award trophies to the top 4 in the High School Class at that night’s race.
Club Wear: Eddie will take hats and T-Shirts to the March Meet in case members want to buy them there.
Old Business - Volunteers were solicited to crew and work on the Little Old Lady altered owned by Harold
Hungerford. The club will not be purchasing or taking ownership of the car, but volunteers will see what they can do
with it. The volunteer group will determine what potential activities they will attend with the car.
New Business – No new business.

Lisa Bragg and Ron Borg. Welcome Lisa and Ron.
Meeting Adjourned at 8:07 PM
At the conclusion of the formal business and round table discussions, we held the 50/50 Raffle which supports our
High School Program. This month’s winner of $127.00 was Sandy Mendia. The other $ 127.00 was earmarked for our
high schoolers.
Respectfully submitted, John Lewis - Secretary
NEED HELP? ASK A JUGGER!
Undoubtedly we are navigating uncertain times. One of the tenants of the Juggers Racing Team has always been to help one another. Many of us will face upcoming hardships, be them of health or finances. If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask your brethren. If you can offer help, be the help someone needs. And don't forget to wash those hands!
Race Report – by Dianna Munro
March is here and that means March Meet! Whoop! Whoop! The first race of the year and boy
were we looking forward to hanging out with the rest of the race family!
We worked hard to make sure that we did not have to leave the pits or go home early. We learned
that lesson last year going back and forth from the hotel to the track, missing the fun in the pits,
and watching Terry Lindblad win the March Meet, on Facebook Live from the rest stop.
Last year we tried to get a camper to take in the pits so that we would not miss out on the fun but
we quickly learned that our new camper was a wee too big for my old truck. (What a great reason
to get a new truck.) Well we found a newer (bigger) truck that will carry that humongous camper.
This means there was no leaving or negotiating a late night ride by a sober driver to get me to the
hotel. This year all I had to do was make sure I made it to my side of the bed.
Now that I got the home away from home taken care of we had to figure out a way to tow the
scooters. Check out the hitch on the back of my Hyundai Sonata. It towed like a dream.
Gary was so ready, he got Galileo, Weasel and a couple other Juggers to go a week early for a
test ‘n tune then watch the rest of the competition flow into the parking lot. He had to leave Cheryl
at home because she was super sick. (cont’d below)
Our Condolences…….
The Juggers have lost another long-
time member. Please keep the
family of Walt Shrank in your
thoughts during this time.
Rest in Peace in the great raceway
in the sky, Walt
Greg, Steve and Martha got there on Tuesday. Michelle and I got there on Wednesday. We were
missing Momma Ryan, she was home super sick. We promised to take care of Champ and do our
best to bring home a trophy.
We took 1 run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We were pretty consistent with an 8.72 ish....
No matter the tweaks. Gary tried some new rubber but was still consistent. He was doing his best
to pretend he was not sick and that he was not worried about Cheryl. Cheryl was so sick she went
to the hospital by ambulance but is doing well now. Gary did hid very best to pretend he wasn’t
sick.
We brought lots of toys new and old. Greg brought his drones that Santa brought him. Let me tell
you, they were super cute but once they unleashed them Martha learned that you must protect
your nipples from the drones. These drones had minds of their own and had controls that were
very primitive but that did not keep Steve and Greg from aiming for the closest targets that stuck
out.
Now my public service announcement. It is not to use sanitizer or wash your hands it is CHECK
YOUR SAFTEY GEAR! I think at least 3 Juggers failed inspection because their belts were
expired... No one wants to get to the race and not be able to run!!!! Check your safety gear and
make sure you will pass inspection!
Back to regularly scheduled programming....
There were Juggers everywhere, too many to list and not enough space to show them all.
Sandy and Steve worked on the Juggers post to remove the old faded plaques and reinstall new
plaques with names freshly restored.
We had a large turnout for the Memorial ceremony at the Jugger’s tree. Gary said a few words and
told us a little about the newest ‘Members who have Traveled to the Raceway in Heaven.’ I
spotted a few non Juggers there paying respects to our lost members.
There was one non Members at the ceremony that looked really familiar to me, after the ceremony
I walked up to talk to him and WOW. It is a small world we live in! It was Rick ‘Doc’ Brophy, I have
know that guy since I was knee high to a grasshopper. My parents were NASCAR officials at
quarter mile dirt tracks including Vallejo, Antioch, and Petaluma. This guy used to race the round
de round at Antioch when I was a kid. I then ran into him when my kids were little, he was driving
the Final Countdown Jet Dragster. Now I have grandkids and he is racing Nostalgia Eliminator I.
He was quick to tell me that Cub Barnett had been his idol. Juggers reach far and wide without
even knowing it.
Now back to reality and the races. A lot of people did not go past first round, this year Pure
Adrenaline went out first round because our tweaks finally caught up with us, we went 8.5
something and that is a little too fast to keep going. We were done for the weekend. Not that it
made us feel better, but there were quite a few that went out first round, Dang it!
Ron Capps has been coming here for years trying to win this event. He finally won! Look at that
face, he was so happy to take home that trophy. He is one of the winners of the March Meet!
Then came the Nostalgia Eliminator II finals. It was a Loud and Proud team finals, look at that
team, they are amazing! Who would have thought this team would be going after that March Meet
trophy again?? Me, me, me, and my kid! This team is the example of Champions! It was Jeff and
Terry in the FINALS!!!! Lifelong friends and they gave it their all! They flipped a coin and it was as
fair as it could be. Both men going to the line and hanging it all out. It did not matter who won just
that one of them brings home the WALLY! Those Chrysler Boys are AMAZING!
I am not going to over analyze it but I called that both of these guys would be on the money and try
and BEAT the other. Let me just say it was a red light fest but who freakin cares! It was friend
against friend, family against family team against team....
LOUD AND PROUD RACING!
The winner is Terry Lindbad! This guy is remarkable! He is a BACK TO BACK MARCH
CHAMPION!!!! (Don’t tell Ron Capps!)
Then there is the winners circle photos. We spent a long time in the Winners Circle line waiting to
get our picture taken. But when is that a bad line to wait in?????
CONGRATULATIONS TERRY LINDBLAD, JEFF BROCHHEUSER and the LOUD and PROUD
TEAM!
ATTENTION IN THE PITS – please send any corrections and / or articles, classifieds or whatever to [email protected] for upcoming newsletters. Deadline is the 15th of each month.
Next Meeting: MARCH MEETING CANCELLED! We will advise about April as the time gets
closer
