He has proven himself in competition with eng inee rs from a ll other co lleg es and universities often to be of the very top caliber, but in a great majority of cases considerably above average calibe r. Never is he below par.

The newest club at Indiana Technical College is the Kek iongan Variety Club. The club is comprised of actors and radio entertainers as well as an orchestra and a Hawaiian musical group. Under the leadership of Bill Taylor, Doc Dean , Fran k Di-
Cuia, and Eng Shun, the club ha s presented programs over the radio, at various civic clubs, and at the President's reception for the Freshmen. Their biggest project, however, was the entertainment at the summer convocation.

with an excellent reputation as a Hig h
School Coach and as C oach fo r the profes
sional Fort Wayne Zollners. In thi s first
season th e improveme nts that Mendenhall
made in the athletic department ha ve been
phenomenal . Although we didn 't win as
man y basketba ll games as we would have
liked, the percentage over last sea son has
improved. Our players were good but
lacked experience . But watch out next

Although Tech's Tennis Tea m only broke into the winners column twice thi~ season, their showing was impressive over such top cal iber opponents . Captain of the team thi s year as he was last year was Virq Gardinier from the Aero Dept. This spring's team did much better than last yea rs in that every member of the team ha s a win to his credit. Those with the most wins were Dalgleish, Rowe, Hemmir.ger, and Boucher all with three
wins apiece. The tea m fin is hed its eig ht ga me sched ule with a 2-6 record.
