SAMThe prince killed the dragon andwas looking for the princess.

    HANNAHUnh-unh! The princess was being

held prisoner in the castle by themean, old, ugly ogre.

    Sam shakes his head defiantly.

    SAMIts the same thing!

    JOSIEOkay, okay. Take it easy.

Sensing hes being left out, Josie looks at Christopher.

JOSIE (CONTD)Christopher why dont you tell uswhere to pick up the story?

CHRISTOPHERMaybe the princess tries to escape?

JOSIEOkay, the princess tries to escape.

Josie reaches for her bag and pulls out two PUPPETS, puttingone behind her back, unseen by the children. She slips theother on her right hand. AGENT BERRYToday, I found out for sure theSheriffs Office is involved insome sort of cover-up. The milliondollars in heroin is just the tipof the iceberg. Im still not sure

how long the Sheriffs NarcoticsUnit has been bad, but this bustisnt the first time theyveskimmed off the top. What they dois they seize the drugs, usuallytake ninety percent of what theyconfiscate, and resell it on theopen market. Its just that simple.

JOSIEBut why tell me? Why not just bustthem?

    AGENT BERRYUnfortunately, its not thatsimple.

Andy sticks his head in the live truck doorway, interrupting.

ANDYJosie, weve got two minutes.Cynthias bitching up a storm.

    JOSIESo go above his head.

AGENT BERRYI cant. His boss XXXX.

(beat)Look I know about you. I know youhave connections ... sources insidethe Sheriffs Office that I donthave. If you can find out whoshelping him and get me some solidproof, a photograph, a recording,

anything that I can take back to myboss, he wont have any choice butto bust them.

JOSIEI dont know. Seems like this is ajob for I-A.

AGENT BERRYYeah, but remember, the legislatureallowed sheriffs to dispand theirinternal affairs last year. Onlycities have to have I-A, now.
