Jorge Pena (Chiringo)Biography

He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, , 1963, He Graduated from the National School 0f Fine Arts. in Santo Domingo, He also participated in the workshop Painters of the present time and of the past (practical and theoretical introduction to the pictorial techniques). Furthermore, he has carried out other workshops on Scenography and Scenic Productions. He has also directed various workshop courses on Child Creativity in Santo Domingo. He is founder of the group “Los Cincos (the five ones)” since 1984, member of the International Association of Plastic Artists (Visual Artists), member of the Dominican College visual arts (CODAP), and a member of the Dominica/American Visual artist Collective.
