TRANSCRIPT
Jivdaya Charitable Trust
Jivdaya Charitable Trust was
established in 2007 and is
dedicated to helping stray animals
and birds, free of charge.
The objective of the Trust is to
reduce the pain and suffering of
speechless animals who have
been injured and help them live a
normal life.
This is what we started with, just a compound and hardly any facilities
Doctor had to treat the animals and even perform operations in the mobile clinic, due to
lack of infrastructure.
Over time:
• After a year, through generous donors and trustees, we managed to set up a ready Operation theatre.
• We also got one more Mobile clinic and a few more staff.

We have come a long way from where we had started:
• Now we have Three fully functional mobile clinics that go around the city answering calls. Each clinic is operational in predetermined areas in the Western part of the city
• We have Five doctors that are dedicated to saving animals and birds.
• We have an indoor hospital and a state-of-the-art O.T., complete with gas anaesthesia, X-ray unit and pathology lab.
The Registration desk/ Call centre, we receive our complaints, note them down and then they are handed
over to the Mobile Vans.

We have a special waterbed for those dogs with spinal injuries and have also set up coolers for the
dogs to give them some respite from the heat.
BIRD SECTION
We have recently built a separate Bird wing to focus mainly on the treatment of our feathered friends.
We also have a huge aviary so that they feel more comfortable and secure. It also helps a great deal in their recuperation.

We have 4 main big cages and 4 smaller ones inside the aviary.
We also have 4 big enclosures for monkeys inside as well.

from outside.
Uttarayan
• During the kite flying festival, JCT provides treatment to hundreds of birds injured by the deadly “manja”.
• A large team of veterinarians and avian experts from India and abroad help treat and rehabilitate the injured birds.
• A number of volunteers, staff and doctors work around the clock treating the numerous injured birds.
• We get a large variety of birds ranging from the common ones to migratory, aquatic and even a few endangered species.
