The main objective of the fund is to support and improve the health system, as well as overcoming

«STOP TB IN UKRAINE» PROGRAM

The following are the tasks of the program: improve the diagnosis of tuberculosis by optimizing the network of laboratories in

the public and penitentiary institutions improve access to high-quality diagnosis and treatment for all people increase the capacity of the health system in Ukraine for TB control through

improved management (leadership, monitoring and evaluation, human resource development), which is necessary for successful implementation of TB control programs;

raise awareness about the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis, helping to mobilize political support against self-treatment, reduction of stigma and discrimination against TB patients or those who are ill and treated successfully

Program budget for the 1st phase (2011-2012) constituted 237 million UAH ($ 29,659,314)

CANCER CAN BE CURED

The first and only large-scale project in Ukraine to support state system of providing assistance to cancer patients. This project is the largest investment of 315 million UAH in the development of the state oncological service in Ukraine.

Unique projects for Ukraine were implemented under this project: mobile medical system - a 18-meter road train with installed

mammography and gynecological office; eHealth - a social project that provides more effective health services

and improves access to the highly specialized medical services to patients through the use of modern telecommunications equipment in the field of oncology, cardiology and general medicine.

Aim of the project: to ensure the right of every orphan or any child deprived of parental care to be raised in a family; provide support (legal, psychological, social) for families that want to take a child into their family, to promote the creation of foster families and family-type homes.
