The Street StyleBy Rubén Jiménez Triguero

The Jazz age

The Twenties were a period where the fashion has very important. Then, the style was glamourous and elegant.

During the Jazz age, took place a great revolution in the fashion, above everything on the women, because they broke with the politically-correct: they started smoking, to drink alcohol, to fast drive, they began to hear Jazz, to go of the parties, to work outside the home, etc. This women were to denominate as “Flappers”.

The women used to use bright of necklace beads, much makeup and clothes of varied colors. The men used suits with jackets and always used to go very hairstyles.

Street Style

In the new ages, the fashion industry has many styles and very different. The “Street Style” is one of the most common. The fashion of “Street Style” is composite of clothes for day to day. In this fashion, is habitual to use clothes with colors as red, green or yellow. The men and women use sport clothes and sport shoes and they use blue jeans and blue jackets. The women use long skirts and short skirts.

In comparison

The fashion in the Twenties was the most elegant while the “Street Style” is more practical than the clothes back then.

The new jackets and jeans for men are more colouring, while that in the Twenties, the jackets and jeans for men was more elegant than the new fashion. For the women, the new clothes are more extroverted, but the clothes in those days were most alluring.

Back then, the clothes were more expensive, but some people made up their imitation fashion clothes, while today the people buy many clothes because the fashion often changes.
