BIOGRAPHYFrancisco's aim is to immerse the viewer in his world with his characteristically strong style. This is a world of intimate places, imperfections and sensibility which follows the lines of the human body and the aura that surrounds people.

Francisco's paintings have been influenced by a broad range of artists such as; Tapes, Lucian Freud and the painting traditions of Spain and Britain. Francisco's work is the hunt of the soul. These works depict the effusive desire to capture the soul and the innocence of the human form through art. Full of feelings and ideas, textures and forms, these works reveal the essence of the human condition.

Francisco Jose Jimenez was born in 1987, Jerez de Ia Frontera, Spain (a land he will always remember with tenderness and nostalgia), where he lived his early childhood. He soon moved with his family to Madrid, where he became absorbed by the great world of painting. It was in this city where he was formed artistically and personally. At the age of I 0, he started to go to private painting classes with the artist and mentor, Evaristo Palacios.

Once he turned 18, he started college of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. At the same time he found the opportunity to have his own studio in Madrid, where he began a deeper search of his style and himself. Later, the crisis shook Spain. Because of this and other reasons, he decided to leave Madrid and move to London in search of new opportunities as an emerging artist. Although it wasn't easy at first, gradually he created a base and submerged himself into the world of art in this city.

He created new paintings with a more pronounced nostalgic vision, influenced by British artist Lucian Freud to who he feels great admiration for. During the last years he has exhibited in differet galleries including the prestigious Menier Gallery in London Bridge on four occassions. In 2016 he was selected to show some of his best artworks at The Oher Art Fair, one of the most important events of the calendar for emerging artists. This experience resulted really successful and since then he has received the recognition of different galleries and art collectors.

I have always felt attracted by nudity, the flowing lines of the human body and the aura that surrounds people. Knowing people through painting is wonderful, you can reach their most intimate places, even to their consciousness.

When we create that aura between the person and painting all these questions arise, which at the end are beautiful imperfections in search of a meaning. In this moment we forget ourselves, there is no reason and the artist exposes himself fully. Here the body lines stumble upon thoughts. Traveling between the beauty and the sadness. This is themeaning of my painting.

When I paint a person, I find myself where the nostalgia, doubts and sadness becomes beauty. I've never managed to express this so purely as with the painting. Each painting is an answer, a story without words, an expression of life with a background to tell. So, in this way, each frame, each nude is a step to find myself and see myself reflected in every painting.

There has been cases where people have written to me saying that they are reflected in my paintings, with intrigue wondering what is my inspiration. I think those people are reflected in my paintings because they have seen in them all these doubts, they know this feeling in form of expression.

"The artist does not have a desire to reflect a vision of the world universally accepted, it,s to express our own inalienable lifestyle and experience with maximum strength and resolution possible. We can think of optimistic or pessimistic senses, but only when this thinking finds the expression incisive and caval means something to others."
