For the last 26 years, I have taught throughout the curriculum in our Intensive English Program. I could easily develop workshops for any skill or combination of skills. I also have extensive experience conducting workshops and working with teachers on curriculum design and materials development, focusing especially on strategic learning.

TESOL Methodology I am deeply rooted in the theoretical grounding of materials design. I started my career during the communicative approach era and currently work from a sociocultural perspective of learning. I have designed a graduate level class in sociocultural theory and use key concepts in my peer mentoring activities.

Appropriate used of technology in the classroom

My second Master’s degree and PhD are both in Educational technology. I incorporate technology into my materials and have researched student identity in on-line classes. I am an advocate of using technology appropriately and understanding how it can be used as a tool to mediate learning.
