Cosplaying can be fun or/and competitive. In the past it was very click-y, but the geek universe has been focusing on opening its arms and accepting newbies and traditional geeks without judgement. After all geeks were the outcasts just a few generations ago. Acceptance and open mindedness is why comic book conventions were made, to unite all the fans of different passions together.
