March
The Peace Link Sports Facility launched the “Gym for All” program in March. This program aims to encourage all members of the community to get ac-
tive! Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 12.00pm and 1.00pm you can use the gym at a discounted rate of only €3.
Another month & another new piece of equipment. The Ergom-eter Machine or Arm Cycle as it can be called helps build upper body endurance, fires the core stabilising muscles as well as
giving you a good cardiovascular workout.
If you need any assistance on any of the equipment in the gym
please don’t be afraid to ask a member of The Peace Link staff.
Two members of staff, David Masterson and Sean Mc Dermott both passed their
final exams and obtained their NCSA (National Certificate in Strength and
Conditioning).
The NCSA course is specifically aimed at fitness professionals who want to work in elite sport and upon completion gives
the individual the skills to coach elite athletes.
