Place.Faith.Hope.Love In Action By Attending Legislative Day Be informed, stand up, speak out, and let your voice be heard. The Great Plains UMW legislative day in Kansas will be held Sunday & Monday, on February 8 & 9, in Topeka. The purpose is to educate members of the faith community on issues that are being addressed within the state legislatures. The purpose of the legislative days are to provide a forum on education on justice issues, create a context for how the issues intersect with faith and prompt ways that the faith community can respond in advocacy. All events are ecumenical. A variety of workshops are available and scholarships are available for young adults ages 15 - 21. More information is on the UMW bulletin board at the west end of the or you can also get more info on their website: h t t p : w w w . g r e a t p l a i n s u m c . o r g / 2015legis lat ivedays . Barry McEachern CHUM Volunteer

W e a r e fortunate to have Barry McEachern involved at CHUM and he has been a t t e n d i n g here for over 23 years. He usually can

be found in the 8:30am service with his wife, Pam, and they are members of the Communicators Sunday school class. He is an electrical wholesaler. He was a roadie in the 70’s, a jeweler, orthotist in rehab, advertising exec, journeyman roofer, landscaper, waiter, newspaper columnist and he claims to be a Mr. Sandman and will interpret your dreams...so look him up and see what he says about your dreams. Don Zook took over leading the class focusing on Transformation, Ageism, Joy and Authority. He encouraged us to "remain cheerful and keep our head held high" using interesting terminology. After Don presented revealing stories of past exposure to church authority, Tabletalk focused on how we see church authority with review of CHUM Lay Leadership. Sunday, Newness, Accomplishment and Possibility.

DOUBLE CIRCLE, Rm. B4 - Our class president, Bill Means, is in the hospital with several health issues. Meredith will keep us posted on his condition. Betty heard from Wenona and she is moving out of her current apartment to one higher up while they are remodeling the apartments she is currently staying with her daughter. Remember the class party is Friday, January 30th, at noon. We will gather at the church. We had an attendance of 12. Let’s all say a prayer for those we want to remember and those who need our prayers.
