Even as Christians celebrate their most important religious season of death and Resurrection, mortality and immortality, amid the reality that not all denominations agree on the date. The reality is that most people in Jamaica recognize this period in religious or secular ways. Carnival begins, churches are full, some attempt both, holiday spirits of both genres, and bun and cheese. And yes, all is well with the world!

It is a feeling of euphoria, invincibility, a sense of immortality, it is a time to forget, to forgive, to think noble thoughts, and reach out to relatives that you haven’t spoken to for years. A time that seems to transcend all of the world’s problems such as violence, hatred, criminal activities, prejudice, racism, and exploitation. And yes, all is well with the world!

Whose responsibility is it to review the global scenario, and try to discern whether or not all is well, and whether we need to plan or not plan for potential threats to Jamaica land we love? It’s not really mine but as a good citizen I must make some contribution, and encourage others to think on some of the issues...TO READ MORE OPEN THE LINK: whose-responsibility-is-it-5
