2014EUROPEAN CONFERENCE15–17 October 2014 •The Westin Paris – Vendôme • Paris, France

Page 2: ITechLaw Paris Brochure

In just a few short weeks we will again convene at the European Conference, this year’s event taking place at the luxurious Westin Paris – Vendôme from 15 - 17 October. Between the outstanding educational program and the beautiful venues for our evening networking events, this is an event not to miss.

Our education committee has put together a diverse agenda of sessions covering the latest issues in technology law. Tracks include: international cybercrime; virtual currencies; security & technologies; data as a source of value creation; data protection; social media & gaming; protection of personal data; cloud, open source and sourcing services agreements; new technologies; artificial intelligence & robots; benefit realization in IT projects; intellectual property; litigation & arbitration; and liabilities in the internet world.

After a day packed full of learning and discussions, relax and network with colleagues at the Maison du Barreau for the Welcome Reception, the historical Automobile Club de France for the Gala, and conclude the event at the Westin’s Winter Garden.

Dear Colleagues,

These past few months as President, I have been working on a number of initiatives for ITechLaw. Our membership drive through our Member-Get-a-Member campaign and Young Lawyers Committee is going well, and I encourage you to learn more about how you can help us grow. We recently launched a Cyber Crime Committee that we hope will become a trusted and authorita-tive resource on cyber crime issues for the legal and legislative communities.

Beginning in August, I am holding a number of Presidential Lunches in order to meet some of our members and hear your feedback about the future of this organization. I will be traveling to Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest, and Madrid this fall and I hope you are able to join me if you are local to one of these cities.

Thank you to Christian Frank, Jenna Karadbil, Rob Weiss, Charles Morgan, Steven de Schrjver, Claire Bernier and the local Planning Committee for your extensive work to put together this event.

On behalf of the committee, we look forward to seeing you in Paris in October!

Sincerely, Sajai Singh President, ITechLaw
