ADRIAN JEFFERSON TENEMAZA RODAS

1. My name is Adrian Jefferson Tenemaza Rodas. I have two surnames because in my

country we are given both the father’s and the mother’s.2. I am eleven years old.3. I come from Ecuador.4. I have been living in Italy for three years.5. My father is a waiter in a restaurant in Venice and my mother looks after an elderly

person.6. I have always thought that Italy was like North America, more modern than my

country, with technological structures.7. I feel homesick when I start thinking of Ecuador and I miss my relatives, in particular

my grandparents, whom I have not seen for a long period.8. When I arrived in Italy the greatest problem I had was speaking as I didn’t know

Italian and so I felt lost as I did not understand a single world.9. When I arrived here in Italy I met a lot of new friends soon. I also play football in the

Campalto team and I feel very good.10. No, luckily I have never been excluded. On the contrary, during my first day at

school my new school-mates welcomed me with paper chains and a lot of happiness.11. I have noticed that Italian schools are bigger than the Ecuador ones. They do not

teach French at primary school and they go to school for six years instead of five. Moreover they do not have lessons in the afternoon.

12. I was in trouble above all with writing as it is very different from my mother tongue, while speaking was good because my father had taught me a little Italian.

NICOLETTA MOCANU

1. Je m’appelle Nicoletta Mocanu.2. J’ai douze ans.3. Je suis de Moldavie.4. Je suis en Italie depuis trois ans. 5.

VALENTIN KIRILOV

1. My name is Valentin Kirilov2. I’m 14 years old3. I come from Shumen, a small village in Bulgaria4. About 5 years5. In Bulgaria, my dad was a bricklayer and he’s doing the same here in Italy. My

mother has always been a housewife6. I thought that Campalto was a big town with cool shops, but actually, if I need some

clothes I have to go to Mestre, which is not very comfortable to me.7. Yes I miss my country,my relatives and friends, and to be updated about what’s

going on in Bulgaria I have a dish outside the window.8. My disability was my main problem, because sometimes some of my schoolmates

weren’t very kind to me.9. At the beginning, because of the language, I could’t have any relationship with boys

and girls of my age10. At school I have sometimes been laughed at by some oldest boys because of my

origins, my language and disability11. In my country, because of my disability, I couldn’t attend any school, while in Italy

disabled people are considered quite a lot.12. At the beginning I had some listening and speaking problems : I couldn’t pronounce

the words properly, they were so difficult to me. But it’ s all over now.

YULYA POKROVS’KA
