Learn the requirements and tasks of tour operators including the leading of small group tours, providing tourists with interesting site specific information, coordination and arrangement of accommodations, and operational challenges.

Cultural Tourism HT-MGT 391B

Learn the culture and lifestyle of specific regions through history, art, architecture, cuisines, social dynamics, and recreation that shape a culture’s way of life. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning, awareness, and comprehension of different cultures and cultural dynamics.

Critical Issues in Hospitality & Tourism HT-MGT 391C

Optional 3 credit Independent StudyResearch, identify, and discuss a current critical issue facing the hospitality and tourism industry. The independent study seeks for students to develop analytical and academic research skills by identifying points of view, competencies, management skills, theoretical development, and strategic management.
