Mohawk-They got there name from the Kantian Khaki. Which means keepers of the eastern door.

Seneca-This tribe got there got there name from the Iola which means keepers of the western door.

Oneida-They got there name from the Onayotekaona. Which means people of the standing stone.

Life of the Iroquois

Iroquois lived in Oregon where it had a lot of rain and cold and also windy. Farmers meant crops a lot of them.

Iroquois resources was buffalo and crops and water the weather was kind of mixed. There food resource was corn cakes.

Women had more power than men. There favorite food was corn cakes. Women tended crops while men hunted. The Iroquois were mostly farmers. It took them weeks to build longhouses.
