Accessing iPASS

• iPASS is an internet enabled application you can access it from any browser

• The Address for iPASS is :https://ipass.watertown.k12.ma.us/school/ipass/index.html

• You can also reach it in Staff Resources form the School Home Pages.

Logging on:

Protect you password! Do not share passwords! Logout when you are done!

What do I need to do?

•Update the Language Page•Update the ESL fields in “Misc”•Print Lists•Print Mailing labels•Find Contact Information

Update the Language Page:

The Language page is in the Biographical System.To Get to the Biographical system Click on the Plus signNext to Biographical System

Update the Language Page

• Find any Student - lets you see and edit any student in the district - use with care.

• Add/Modify Student Biographical - lets you edit students in the schools you are assigned to. (Better choice for every day.)

• Reports Biographical - lets you print out information in iPASS about your students.

Update the Language page

• Click on Add Modify Student Biographical

• Enter the Name of a student in your school or part of the name… (less is better)

Then Click on the ‘Submit Button’

This will open the Main Profile Page for the Student

You want to Click on the ‘Language’ Tab

QuickTime™ and aTIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor

are needed to see this picture.

The DOE added DOE021 - LEP Student Recently Arrived.This field should also be populated.

Language Page

• First Language DOE024 - See List• English Proficiency DOE025 - If they are in ELL -

they are coded – 01 - Not able to perform class work in English

• English Language Learner Status DOE026 - We only offer Sheltered English Emersion so this should be: – 00 - not in ELL– 01 - In Sheltered English Emersion– 04 - Parents opted out

You need to update Date of Entry in US:

ELL Start Date:

ELL End Date:

- Leave all other fields alone…
