The Internet of Things :-
Reason behind IoT being interesting- Refers to uniquely identifiable objects (things)
and their virtual representations in an Internet-like structure
IoT transform nearly every industry to change the way we live and work, locally and globally. Companies in all industries face challenges to build infrastructures that meet the changing requirements of scale and data management, and are highly secure.

Food: Control geographical origin Food production management Nutrition calculations
Prevent overproduction and shortage Control food quality, health and safety.
• Retail: Intelligent shopping Bar code in retail Electronic tags
• Management: Data management Waste management Urban planning Production management
• Logistics:
Here are the reasons why IoT serves future requirements in Logistics
Gain real-time transparency into transportation progress
Optimize inbound and hub-internal traffic to accelerate results
Increase goods throughput and optimize infrastructure for maximum productivity
Automate processes for a huge boost in efficiency
Shrink waiting times and the need for manual monitoring
Reduce emissions and environmental impact

Future of IoT
Shaping the Future of Logistics
• This revolutionary technology allows devices to communicate with each other within an existing internet infrastructure without human intervention. Its application in the future of logistics is expected to increase speed, decrease waste and reduce overall costs.
• The study found out that 26.25% of 3PL companies are currently using machine-to-machine (M2M) technology and 46.62% plan to deploy them in the future.
• In a survey, 47% said they believe it will have a tremendous impact while 49% said that it would have some impact. Only 3% said that it would have no impact.
