GENERAL INFORMATION 1 COMPETITION PROGRAM/SCHEDULE A detailed schedule of special events, competition events, finals and award ceremonies is attached to this General Information. The Final Competition Schedule (including Training) will be distributed after the Official Entry Deadline (30 days before the Official Arrival day). The Shooting Range will be open for Unofficial training before the official schedule, for information contact the Organizing Committee. The latest updates will be provided at the Technical Meeting.

2 PARTICIPATION A maximum of 3 shooters per event per nation may be entered in the Championship of the Americas individual and team medal competition. Teams are formed by 3 individuals of the same national federation competing in the same event and category. A maximum of 2 junior shooters may be entered in the Championship of the Americas individual junior competition. There will be no junior teams. A maximum of 2 additional MQS only entries per event per nation may be entered.

5 RULES AND REGULATIONS The competition will be conducted according to the ISSF rules and regulations. Detailed information is available on the ISSF website www.issf-sports.org. Equipment control will be conducted according to ISSF Rules and Regulations using approved Instruments. Under rules adopted in 2013, pre-competition testing is no longer mandatory. As before, athletes are responsible for competing with legal equipment and clothing and are urged to submit all doubtful equipment and clothing to Equipment Control for checking before the competitions. All athletes are subject to being selected for random post-competition testing according to ISSF Rule 6.7.9. All rifle shooters having an ISSF certificate for rifle clothing are exempt from equipment control section for those items of clothing on the ISSF Certificate, except that follow-up controls will be conducted according to ISSF regulations (7.4.6.4.2.4). It is the shooter’s responsibility to ensure that any air or CO2 cylinder has been certified as safe and is still within its validity date. If the validity date has expired the use of this cylinder is not allowed.

6 ENTRY PROCESS ISSF ID Number All athletes who intend to participate in the ISSF Championship Of The Americas must have an ISSF ID number (ISSF GR 3.6.6).

Athletes without ISSF ID number will not be allowed to participate. ISSF ID numbers can be obtained from the ISSF Headquarters by using the official application form.

Juniors Juniors are athletes who will be under the age of 21 on 31st December 2014 (ISSF Rule 3.3.6.) Juniors may participate in one (1) category only in any particular event – either in the Junior or in the Senior event (ISSF Rule 3.6.8.4.1.) Athlete biographies will be distributed and photos will be taken. Where to Submit Entries/Registrations All event entries must be made through the ISSF Online Entry Service. All hotel and weapons declarations must be forwarded to the organizing committee. Final Entries (Annexes B & C) CAT member federations must make final entries (see specified Annexes B and C) directly to ISSF Headquarters through the ISSF Online Entry System or entry forms may be forwarded to ISSF Headquarters via fax. The deadline for entries is 11 September 2014. Late Entries (ISSF Rule 3.7.3.4) Late Entries will only be accepted until the Final Entry Deadline (3 days before the Official Arrival Day) which is 07.10.2014. Any additional entries received after the Final Entry Deadline, from 08.10.2014 onwards, may not participate (ISSF Rule 3.7.3.5) Any additional entries received after the deadline of three days before the official arrival day may not participate (ISSF rule 3.7.3.5).

Entry Changes after the Final Entry Deadline From October 8 2014 onwards, only the following changes in the Final Entries are permitted: a) Replacement of a registered athlete by another already registered athlete in another event (ISSF Rule 3.7.3.6) can be made only before 12:00h the day before the Pre-Event Training for that event. b) Change of Status in an event (ISSF Rule 3.7.3.7): a MQS Extra athlete can replace a withdrawn Championship of the Americas athlete. The withdrawn Championship of the Americas athlete may not shoot for MQS Extra. The exchange of athletes within an event is not permitted. Entry Confirmation upon arrival

The Team Leader of the ISSF Member Federation must report to the OC Entries Official and confirm the Final Entries. The confirmation must be done before 12:00h the day before the Pre-Event Training. Cancellation (ISSF Rule 3.7.4.3) Any ISSF Member Federation reducing the number of athletes and / or officials after the Final Entry Deadline (September 11, 2014) is obligated to pay all applicable fees and costs including entry fees according to the number of athletes and entries on the Final Entry Forms originally received. If the applicable fees and costs are not paid no member of that federation may participate.

Entry Fee (ISSF Rule 3.7.3.4.3 and 3.7.4) The entry fees include all charges for registration, local transportation between shooting range and official hotels and doping control.

8 REGISTRATION and PAYMENT All payments must be done to the Organizing Committee. Registration and Payment of the entry fees will be carried out at the Shooting Range. All payments have to be made in USD or MXP (credit cards will be accepted VISA, MC). Please be sure to exchange money before entering into México. Valid credit cards will be accepted plus a 4% transaction fee. When transferring money, please be sure to CLEARLY identify which country or federation is submitting the payment and that the payment is for the CAT 2014. Payment of GUN PERMITS, must be done in ADVANCE to the organization committee.

For information regarding the payment of 80% of your hotel costs, see item number 12 in this program. All other pending payments (except the 80% of hotels) may be made to the Organizing Committee at October 10th and 11th after arrival in Guadalajara. Accreditations and BIB numbers will be only given to the participants after 100% of the payment (entry fee, remainder of hotel costs and gun declarations). Please give a copy of any bank transfer voucher to your team leader to take with them.

9.2 Catering A Catering Tent at CODE Paradero will be provided for shooters, team officials and visitors. A Restaurant will be provided for shooters, team officials and visitors at the Club Cinegético Jalisciense. Lunch will be offered during the competition days for a price of US$15,00 per person. The lunch consists of a choice of 4 different meals (beef, fish, chicken or pasta) accompanied by salad, dessert and a 300ml bottle of water or 200ml orange juice portion. At the Club Cinegético Jalisciense you can order the same lunch or order a la carte.

10 TRANSPORTATION The Organizing Committee, at no charge, will arrange local transportation between the official designated hotels and the shooting range during training and competition days for athletes and officials. Transportation from/to the airport will only be offered on the official arrival and departure days. Departure: All team leaders must submit the departure details at least 48 hours beforehand to the secretariat, to organize transportation to the airport.

11 PERSONAL AND GUN TRANSPORT LICENSES 11.1 VISA All nations who will need an official invitation of the Mexican Sport Shooting Federation are requested to order these in time. Please take care about all necessary information such as special time limit or paragraphs. Unless the Organizing Committee gets special information, the invitation will be send out

by fax and/or e-mail. If an express service should be desired, this service will be charged to the federation and must be paid to the Organizing Committee upon arrival.

The Mexican Sport Shooting Federation has no influence on the embassies! ATTENTION: The Mexican Sport Shooting Federation will provide invitation for the period of the Championship of the Americas only. 11.2 GUN LICENSE The charge for the Gun Permit in México is 80 US dollars, per shooters (for this amount you only can import a maximum of two arms and a maximum of 100 shells / cartridges). It is recommended to all delegations to carry a list of all firearms and ammunition with themselves, to be presented to customs, Federal Police or Military personnel upon request together with the invitation. During your stay in Mexico all firearms and ammunition must be stored in the armory on the shooting range. 12 CUSTOM FORMALITIES The Organization Committee and the Mexican Shooting Federation will do their best to assist all athletes arriving in the Mexico City International Airport and the Guadalajara International Airport to assist in all Customs, Federal Police and Military formalities with your gun. The Organization Committee and the Mexican Shooting Federation, due to the logistics process, cannot assist you if you enter Mexico in other port of entry, but your Gun Permit issued will be valid.

13 ASSISTANCE UPON ARRIVAL The official pick up service starts on the official arrival day. Delegations that arrive earlier or leave after the official departure day must make their own arrangements. Due to the Gun Permit requirements, it is advisable to INFORM your travel itinerary in advance to the Organizing Committee.

15 INFORMATION ON RANGE EQUIPMENT The Club Cinegético Jalisciense Shooting direction is to the North and has the following shotgun disciplines equipment:

• There is ONE combined range for Trap, Skeet and Double Trap that is equipped with Serena machines and ELFIPA electronics, acoustic release systems and electronic score boards.

• There are two ranges for Trap, Double Trap that are equipped with Serena machines and ELFIPA electronics, acoustic release systems and electronic score boards.

• There are two ranges for Skeet that are equipped with Serena machines and ELFIPA electronics, acoustic release systems and electronic score boards.

• Clay Targets: White Flyer brand standard orange targets will be used on the competition. White Flyer brand Flash Targets will be used in Finals the color of the targets used for the finals will be announced at a later stage.

Also, in Rifle and Pistol the Club Cinegético Jalisciense and CODE Paradero have the following equipments:

16 AMMUNITION Aguila ammunition for shotgun and 0.22 caliber (Match Rifle, Match pistol) will be available at the shooting range (http://www.aguilaammo.com.mx/). Also for shotgun only, we will have Cartuchos CI https://twitter.com/cartuchosci https://www.facebook.com/cartuchos.ci/about. If any additional ammunition brands can be offered, we will promptly inform the shooting federations. Since availability is limited we advice to Pre-Order the needed ammunition in advance stating the quantity and pellet size in the case of shotgun ammunition, this information must be forwarded to the Organizing Committee to the following email [email protected]

17 GUN STORAGE It is not allowed to take any guns and ammunition out of the shooting range especially not to the hotel and other city areas, the Organization Committee STRONGLY recommends that you use the armory service. Upon your arrival to Guadalajara, all arms and ammunition have to be transported to the Shooting Range on a direct way. The armory will be opened from OCTOBER 8th till the day after the official departure day OCTOBER 23th. A fee will be charge per day for gun storage. All arms and ammunition have to be removed from the armory to the airport on a direct way. During transport of ammunition and/or your firearm, ALWAYS keep your gun permit with you and your firearm, never leave unattended any firearm or ammunition

18 TECHNICAL MEETING The technical meeting will take place on Sunday, October 12th 2014. The location will be announced on the arrival day.

19 DOPING INFORMATION

The Organizing Committee will conduct doping controls according to ISSF doping regulations. Athletes to be tested will include medalists, Olympic Quota Place winners and random selections.

20 CEREMONIES Opening and Closing Ceremony The Opening Ceremony will take place on 12 OCT 2014 The Closing Ceremony will take place on 19 OCT 2014 Award Ceremony The Award Ceremonies will take place at the shooting range immediately after the end of each Final or at the end of the competition day (see: Final Competition Schedule).

During the ceremonies the athletes are required to present themselves in their official national uniform or national tracksuits (tops and bottoms). Flags and Anthems Please bring along your national anthem (CD), and two (2) national flags (100cm x 150cm approx.) for the ceremonies. We will have Flags available but the Organizing Committee will not be made responsible should a national flag not be available for the Award Ceremonies as it is the delegations’ task to bring two national flags.
