n 200 children visited their parents in jail through the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma’s Beyond Bars Program, and no children who have participated in the program throughout its history have been incarcerated as adults.
YOUR DOLLARS AT WORK: FINANCIAL STABILITYn 1,009 at-risk individuals were placed in jobs by Goodwill, resulting in earned wages of $11.6 million and an economic impact of $49 million.
n 2,634 people received food assistance from Owasso Community Resources to help stretch limited paychecks.
YOUR DOLLARS AT WORK: HEALTH & SAFETYn 2,500 senior citizens in need received hot lunches through Broken Arrow Seniors Nutrition Site.
n 97 percent of survivors receiving help from Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS)/Call Rape reported an increase in confidence and hope in the future.
