• In your binder, write the definition of the following words:– Migration– Emigration– Immigration– Net migration

• Write 3 observations from the map.• What is the map displaying?

Reflection

• Write one paragraph about a specific migration (think about the chalk talk).

• Use all of the words you defined today in your paragraph. (migration, immigration, emigration and net-migration.)

• If you do not know about a specific migration, you can make up a fictional migration.

This can be answered by understanding the Push and Pull factors (drum roll please….)

Push Factor

Definition: Induces (causes) people to move out of their location. Reasons to leave a location.

Pull Factor

Induces (causes) people to move into a new location. Reasons to move to a new location
