Translation/Editing/Proofreading
Translation and editing are performed by Lionbridge’s certified linguists in our translation memory tool, Translation Workspace. The translated document is provided in a 2‐column Word document.
File formats for translation: Word. Lionbridge accepts editable PDF format, but charges on file preparation will be added ($55 per hour). Quote processing will take an extra day.
Proofreading is a mandatory step after translation to receive a translation/validation code. The vendor should send the final layout in editable PDF format to allow comments from editors.
Desktop Publishing
When selecting this service, Lionbridge performs all the steps (translation, editing, DTP and proofreading) at once and deliver the final file, including the translation/validation code, in the same format as the source document.
Lionbridge can perform DTP on file formats such as InDesign and Illustrator.

Lionbridge Services for Lowe’s Vendors• Validation (verification of existing translations)
This option is only available on translation previously provided by Lionbridge. If the translation was performed by another translation company, Lionbridge will quote the request as a regular project, including complete translation of the text.
The goal is to ensure consistency between all Lowe’s translations: preferred terminology, measurements, etc.
File format: Editable PDF
• Project Management The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact at Lionbridge.
Responsibilities include: Quoting, project planning, scheduling and maintenance.
• Important notes Standard turnaround time for quotes is 1‐2 business days.
Standard turnaround time for translations with <1000 words is 3‐4 business days, not including quoting time.
The standard turnaround time for proofreading is 1‐2 business days.
All projects are delivered upon receipt of payment. You will receive a notification from Paypal once you approve the quote.

share knowledge among team members. Your Lionbridge Project Manager is working in the same system, ensuring smooth file transfers and real‐time access to production information, queries, terminology, and our quality review portal.
Freeway – Introduction• About Freeway Freeway is Lionbridge’s online service delivery platform.
Access to Freeway’s collaboration features and language technology is free for Lionbridge clients. Using Freeway, our clients can initiate and track translation projects, collaborate with their project teams, manage linguistic assets, and generate enterprise budget and status reports.
Freeway can support thousands of concurrent users, ensuring greater productivity and consistency among your project teams. Freeway is an on‐demand, web application enabling immediate addition of new users and simultaneous release of new features to all users.

• Accessing Freeway
To sign up for a Lowes Freeway account, please go to http://freewayregistration.lionbridge.com/lowes/. You can use the search functionality at the bottom of any page to find your company, then click on “Add new users” to request additional user accounts. If your company account has not already been created, please click on “Open a New Freeway Account” to request a Freeway setup for your company.
Once your account has been set up, an invitation will come from [email protected] subject line “Lionbridge Portal Account Invitation”.
When you click on the link contained within the email, you will be taken to the Freeway registration page where you can:∙ find your username∙ fill in your personal profile information (including language locale preferences)∙ set your password
Please make note of your username and password, as you will need this information to login.

Freeway Portal• Freeway is needed in the following cases:
All projects requests must come through the Freeway portal.
The Montreal and Beijing project management team analyzes the files and provides quote through Freeway.
Quote approval is performed using Freeway
Project is delivered in the Freeway portal
• Once the account registration is complete, you will be able to login at https://freeway.lionbridge.com, and go to Projects > Create Projects to submit files to Lionbridge.
• For technical questions regarding Freeway, please use the “Request Support” form under the Portal tab after logging into Freeway. If you have problems with logging in, contact [email protected].
For questions regarding your projects (turnaround times, translation issues, validation codes, payment, etc.) or on the Lowes process, please contact the Lionbridge Project Management team for Lowes projects at [email protected] or 514‐815‐1270 (9 am ‐ 5 pm Eastern Time).
