Opening a new document To open a new document simply click file, new and then adjust the following preferences e.g. size, and present you wish to work with. Then click Ok

Adding textDown the left hand side there Is a various option of tools you can use, to add text simply use the ‘T’ tool and click whenever you wish to add text and type, your text will be added into a new layer upon the right hand side.

Editing text1. There are two methods of editing text, one is by

clicking the icon which looks like a file upon the top column and a box will appear you may alter the size, width, height and colour.

2. Another option is by double clicking upon the layer your text is currently on and then again you can simply edit your text how you wish by adding drop shadows, and outer glow.

Adding a layer

You can add a new layer by clicking a file icon down in the bottom, a new layer will be added and highlighted in blue.

Adding images • You can added images by clicking , file, open and

simply clicking your image or, dragging an image from google to Photoshop. As you can see I’ve dragged my image from google towards my photo shop file

Altering images

To change the size of your image click edit, transform scale. Then while holding down the ctrl and Alt button adjust your image to however size you wish. Once altered click the mouse button on the top left hand side of the tools and click apply if you wish not to proceed click don’t apply.

Editing images

To edit your image click, image then adjustments and then alter. To edit your image further simply double click on the image it is saved upon and adjust.

Removing a backgrounds/certain area.• To remove a back ground you can use various

tools one tool is the quick selection tool select the area you want to delete and click delete on your keyboard. However this will not work on a background or area the same colour as the part you are wanting to keep. Then on the top bar click select then deselect to remove the line around your image.

Removing backgrounds/certain area.• Another tool to use is the Lasso tool or magnetic

tool this allows to remove a specific area that you want to remove or edit. To edit simply connect the lines and edit like you would with a regular image and then deselect, to remove click delete.
