What skills and attitudes did you achieve through this internship and what evidence can you offer to demonstrate the achievement. How did your learning objectives change over the course of the internship

How did the internship contribute to your understanding of the practice of engineering and of the key skills and attitudes required to be successful.

Based on your experience, what skills are the most important to successful practice

How well prepared were you for the internship? Could you have done anything to be better prepared?

What advice do you have for those preparing for an internship

What do you feel are the pros and cons of the internship experience?AssessmentAssessment will focus on the process as well as the product. Product outcomes are defined as the what and deal with the tasks you performed and what you produced. Process outcomes look at the how and assess ability in the area of collaboration, relationships, group dynamics and communication. The practice of engineering requires skills in both production and process. How tasks and projects are completed is of equal importance to what is produced.

The following three pages are taken from Assessment & Learning the ICE Approach and outline the method of assessment that will be used.

Timing

The report, case study or seminar is due by the end of September. It will be necessary to have selected your preferred option and agreed with me on the topic and approach by April.
