1. Application

1.1 Designated use

1.2 Non-designated use

Use the pressure control panel Bm65 for gases dissolved under pressure, compressed gases or liquified gases. The pressure control panel reduces aninlet pressureThis equipment can be used in explosion endangered areas because theydon´t have an own potential source of ignition (ignition risk assessmentaccording to DIN EN 13463-1)

Do not use the pressure regulator for gases in the liquid phase.Do not use unsuitable gas types or corrosive gases.

8. Repair

8.1 Repairs may only be carried out byexpert persons.

8.2 Only original spare parts must be used. The materials have been adapted to thegas type in each instance. So always specifiy the gas type.

8.3 In case of independent repairs, the use of non-original spare parts or changes onthe side of the user or a third party without the approval of the manufacturer, any form of liability for resulting damages will expire as well as themanufacturers warranty.

8.4 After being repaired, the pressure regulator must be checked with respect toproper function, leak-tightness and cleanliness of the gas-wetted surfaces.Whenthe system is used again, a sufficient purging operation must be carried out first.

7. Changing cylinders

7.1 Close the cylinder valve.

7.2 Close the process gas valve.

7.3 If flammable, toxic, corrosive or self-igniting process gas has been used, purge with an inert gas before changing cylinders .

7.4 Open the waste gas valve and close again (depressure).

7.5 Unscrew the connection nut on the cylinder valve and replace the cylinder.

7.6 Secure the new cylinder to the cylinder bracket and connect the pigtail to thecylinder valve using an undamaged or new sealing ring.

7.7 Purging with the stored medium (pressure build-up purging)

7.71 Gradually open the cylinder valve and close again (pressure build-up).7.7.2 Open the waste gas valve and close again (depressure).7.7.3 Repeat steps 7.7.1 and 7.7.2 at least 10 times.7.7.4Close all valves.7.7.5Open slowly the cylinder valve.7.7.6Open slowly the process gas valve.

7.8 Purging with an inert gas (pressure build-up purging)7.8.1 Close all valves including purge gas valve on cylinder connection block

and connect purge gas cylinder.7.8.2 Gradually open the purge gas cylinder valve and adjust the purge gas

pressure (10 bar).7.8.3 Gradually open the purge gas valve on the cylinder connection block and

close again (pressure build up).7.8.4 Open the waste gas valve and close again (depressure).7.8.5 Repeat steps 7.8.3 and 7.8.4 at least 10 times.7.8.6 Close all valves.

The fittings can be evacuated with the cylinder valve closed.

Before starting up again after changing cylinders, purge throughly andcheck all thread connections for leaks.

5. Start-Up

Before starting the first time, the complete pressure control panel must be purgedthrough to the point of use. If corrosive gas is to be used as the process gas, dryinert gas must be used for purging.

5.1 Before starting read the specifications of these instructions for use andobserve it while working.

5.2 Unscrew the adjusting knob of the regulators (to depressure the regulator)and close all valves.

5.3 Gradually open the cylinder valve.

5.4 Gradually open the process gas valve.

5.5 Set the regulator to the required outlet pressure by screwing in the adjustingknob, ensuring that any audible vibration of the regulator is avoided at allcosts when filling the line connected downstream.

5.6 Check the complete control panel and all threaded connections for leaks.

!

6. Shut-down

6.1 Close all valves.

6.2 Open the waste gas valve and close again.

6.3 Depressure the adjusted regulator completely by exhausting all gas (inlet andoutlet pressure gauges indicate 0 bar).

6.4 Unscrew the adjusting spindle of the regulator.

3. Installation

3.1 Attache the basic frame of thecontrol panel to the wall with the 2 Ø8x60 screws provided (Fig. 1); thevertical distance between the centre ofthe cylinder valve and the centre of thepressure control panel is approx. 220mm. Attend to that the name plate ispositioned below.

3.3

(

Secure the mounting plate byfastening the 2,5mm allen screw.Fig.4).

3.8 When using corrosive, toxic,self-igniting or flammable gases, ensure that the purge gas is dischargedsafety. The waste gas line must beconnected to the waste gas valve andto the relief valve of the regulator(Fig. 8).
