Model 216 Impact Wrench is designed to handle major service work on brakes, exhaustsystems and vehicle front ends.Ingersoll--Rand is not responsible for customer modification of tools for applications onwhich Ingersoll--Rand was not consulted.

• For safety, top performance, and maximumdurability of parts, operate this tool at 90 psig(6.2 bar/620 kPa) maximum air pressure at theinlet with 5/16” (8 mm) inside diameter air supplyhose.

• Always turn off the air supply and disconnect theair supply hose before installing, removing oradjusting any accessory on this tool, or beforeperforming any maintenance on this tool.

• Do not use damaged, frayed or deteriorated airhoses and fittings.

• Be sure all hoses and fittings are the correct sizeand are tightly secured. See Dwg. TPD905--1 for atypical piping arrangement.

• Always use clean, dry air at 90 psig maximum airpressure. Dust, corrosive fumes and/or excessivemoisture can ruin the motor of an air tool.

• Do not lubricate tools with flammable or volatileliquids such as kerosene, diesel or jet fuel.

• Do not remove any labels. Replace any damagedlabel.

USING THE TOOL• Always wear eye protection when operating or

performing maintenance on this tool.• Always wear hearing protection when operating

this tool.• Keep hands, loose clothing and long hair away

from rotating end of tool.• Note the position of the reversing lever before

operating the tool so as to be aware of the directionof rotation when operating the throttle.

• Anticipate and be alert for sudden changes inmotion during start up and operation of any powertool.

• Keep body stance balanced and firm. Do notoverreach when operating this tool. High reactiontorques can occur at or below the recommendedair pressure.

• Tool shaft may continue to rotate briefly afterthrottle is released.

• Air powered tools can vibrate in use. Vibration,repetitive motions or uncomfortable positions maybe harmful to your hands and arms. Stop usingany tool if discomfort, tingling feeling or painoccurs. Seek medical advice before resuming use.

• Use accessories recommended by Ingersoll--Rand.• Use only impact sockets and accessories. Do not

use hand (chrome) sockets or accessories.• Impact wrenches are not torque wrenches.

Connections requiring specific torque must bechecked with a torque meter after fitting with animpact wrench.

• This tool is not designed for working in explosiveatmospheres.

• This tool is not insulated against electric shock.• Prevent exposure and breathing of harmful dust

and particles created by power tool use:Some dust created by power sanding, sawing,grinding, drilling and other constructionactivities contains chemicals known to causecancer, birth defects or other reproductiveharm. Some examples of these chemicals are:-- lead from lead based paints,-- crystalline silica from bricks and cementand other masonry products, and

-- arsenic and chromium from chemicallytreated lumber.

Your risk from these exposures varies,depending on how often you do this type ofwork. To reduce your exposure to thesechemicals: work in a well ventilated area, andwork with approved safety equipment, such asthose dust masks that are specially designed tofilter out microscopic particles.

ADJUSTMENTSSETTING THE POWER REGULATOR

Impact wrenches are not torque wrenches.Connections requiring specific torque must be checkedwith a torque meter after fitting with an impactwrench.

Model 216 Impact Wrench incorporates a power regulatormechanism that allows the operator to regulate the poweroutput in both directions. To adjust the power, proceed asfollows:

There are no detents or markings on the Regulator.Experience will dictate the amount of rotation neededto power down the Impact Wrench.

For full power in both directions, rotate the AirRegulator Assembly (23), at the bottom of the handle tothe full out position.

For reduced power in both directions, select the powerrequired by rotating the Air Regulator Assembly (23), atthe bottom of the handle, until the appropriate powersetting is selected.

PLACING TOOL IN SERVICELUBRICATION

Always use of an air line lubricator with these tools.We recommend the following Filter--Lubricator--RegulatorUnit:

After each eight hours of operation, unless the air linelubricator is used, detach the air hose an inject about1--1/2 cc of oil into the Inlet Bushing (14).

After each forty--eight hours of operation, or asexperience indicates, remove the Oil Chamber Plug (4)and fill the impact mechanism oil chamber with therecommended oil.

MISE EN SERVICE DE L’OUTIL

• Cet outil doit toujours être exploité, inspecté etentretenu conformément à toutes les réglementations(locales, départementales, fédérales et nationales),applicables aux outils pneumatiquestenus/commandés à la main.

• Pour la sécurité, les performances optimales et ladurabilité maximale des pièces, cet outil doit êtreconnecté à une alimentation d’air comprimé de6,2 bar (620kPa) maximum à l’entrée, avec un flexiblede 8 mm de diamètre intérieur.

• Couper toujours l’alimentation d’air comprimé etdébrancher le flexible d’alimentation avantd’installer, déposer ou ajuster tout accessoire sur cetoutil, ou d’entreprendre une opération d’entretienquelconque sur l’outil.

• Ne pas utiliser des flexibles ou des raccordsendommagés, effilochés ou détériorés.

• S’assurer que tous les flexibles et les raccords sontcorrectement dimensionnés et bien serrés. Voir PlanTPD905--1 pour un exemple type d’agencement destuyauteries.

• Utiliser toujours de l’air sec et propre à une pressionmaximum de 6,2 bar. La poussière, les fuméescorrosives et/ou une humidité excessive peuventendommager le moteur d’un outil pneumatique.

UTILISATION DE L’OUTIL

• Porter toujours des lunettes de protection pendantl’utilisation et l’entretien de cet outil.

• Porter toujours une protection acoustique pendantl’utilisation de cet outil.

• Tenir les mains, les vêtements flous et les cheveuxlongs, éloignés de l’extrémité rotative de l’outil.

• Noter la position du levier d’inversion avant de mettrel’outil en marche de manière à savoir dans quel sens ilva tourner lorsque la commande est actionnée.

• Prévoir, et ne pas oublier, que tout outil motorisé estsusceptible d’à--coups brusques lors de sa mise enmarche et pendant son utilisation.

• Garder une position équilibrée et ferme. Ne pas sepencher trop en avant pendant l’utilisation de cetoutil. Des couples de réaction élevés peuvent se

produire à, ou en dessous, de la pression d’airrecommandée.

• La rotation des accessoires de l’outil peut continuerpendant un certain temps après le relâchement de lagâchette.

• Les outils pneumatiques peuvent vibrer pendantl’exploitation. Les vibrations, les mouvementsrépétitifs et les positions inconfortables peuventcauser des douleurs dans les mains et les bras.N’utiliser plus d’outils en cas d’inconfort, depicotements ou de douleurs. Consulter un médecinavant de recommencer à utiliser l’outil.

• Les clés à chocs ne sont pas des appareilsdynamométriques. Les connexions nécessitant uncouple de serrage spécifique doivent être vérifiéesavec un mesureur de couple après avoir étéassemblées avec un clé à chocs.

• Cet outil n’est pas conçu pour fonctionner dans desatmosphères explosives.

• Cet outil n’est pas isolé contre les chocs électriques.• Evitez toute exposition et respiration des poussières et

particules nocives créées par l’emploi de l’outilpneumatique:

Certaines poussières produites par les opérationsde ponçage, sciage, meulage, perçage et autresactivités de construction contiennent des produitschimiques qui sont reconnus comme pouvantcauser le cancer, des infirmités de naissance oud’autres risques à effets nocifs. Parmi cesproduits chimiques on trouve:-- le plomb des peintures à base de plomb,-- les cristaux de silice contenus dans lesbriques, le ciment et d’autres produits demaçonnerie, et

-- l’arsenic et le chrome des bois traitéschimiquement.

Le risque présenté par l’exposition à cespoussières est fonction de la fréquence et du typede travail effectué. Pour réduire l’exposition à cesproduits chimiques : travaillez dans une zonebien aérée, et utilisez les équipements de sécuritéapprouvés, tels que les masques à poussière quisont spécialement conçus pour filtrer et arrêterles particules microscopiques.

RÉGLAGES

REGLAGE DU REGULATEUR DEPUISSANCE

ATTENTION

Les clés à chocs ne sont pas des appareilsdynamométriques. Les connexions nécessitant uncouple de serrage spécifique doivent être vérifiées avecun mesureur de couple après avoir été assemblées avecun clé à chocs.

Les clés à chocs Modèles 216 contiennent un mécanismede réglage de puissance qui permet à l’opérateur d’ajusterla puissance de sortie dans les deux sens de rotation. Pourajuster la puissance, procéder comme suit :

NOTEIl n’y a ni détente ni repère sur le régulateur.L’expérience déterminera le degré de rotation requispour réduire la puissance des clés à chocs.

Pleine puissance dans les deux sens, tourner l’ensemblede régulateur d’air (23), en bas de la poignée, jusqu’à saposition de sortie complète.

Puissance réduite dans les deux sens, sélectionner lapuissance requise en tournant l’ensemble de régulateurd’air (23), en bas de la poignée, jusqu’à ce que lapuissance fournie soit satisfaisante.

MISE EN SERVICE DE L’OUTIL

LUBRIFICATION

Utiliser toujours un lubrificateur avec ces outils. Nousrecommandons l’emploi du filtre--régulateur--lubrificateursuivant:

Toutes les huit heures de fonctionnement, si unlubrificateur de ligne n’est pas utilisé, injecter 1--1/2 cm3

Schlagschrauber Modell 216 werden eingesetzt für größere Reparatur-- und Wartungsarbeitenan Bremsen, am Auspuffsystem und Motor von Kraftfahrzeugen.Ingersoll--Rand lehnt jede Haftung für Veränderungen anWerkzeugen ab, die ohne vorherigeRücksprache mit Ingersoll--Rand vorgenommen werden.

ACHTUNG

INBETRIEBNAHME DES WERKZEUGES• Das Werkzeug stets nach den örtlich und landes-

weitgeltenden Vorschriften für handgehaltene/handbetriebene Druckluftwerkzeuge betreiben.

• Zur Erzielung höchster Sicherheit, Leistung undHaltbarkeit der Teile sollte dieses Werkzeug miteinem maximalen Luftdruck von 6,2 bar/620 kPa (90psig) am Lufteinlaß und einem Luftzufuhr schlauch 8mm (5/16”) Innendurchmesser betrieben werden.

• Vor Wartungsarbeiten und dem Austausch vonZubehör ist das Werkzeug von derDruckluftversorgung abzuschalten.

• Keine beschädigten, durchgescheuerten oderabgenutzten Luftschläuche und Anschlüßeverwenden.

• Darauf achten, daß alle Schläuche und Anschlüsse diepassende Größe haben und korrekt befestigt sind. InZeichnung TPD905--1 ist eine typischeRohrleitungsanordnung abgebildet.

• Stets saubere, trockene Luft verwenden und einenLuftdruck von 90 bar verwenden. Staub, ätzendeDämpfe und/oder Feuchtigkeit können den Motoreines Druckluftwerkzeuges beschädigen.

• Die Werkzeuge nicht mit brennbaren oder flüchtigenFlüssigkeiten wie Kerosin und Diesel schmieren.

• Keine Aufkleber entfernen. Beschädigte Aufkleberaustauschen.

WERKZEUGEINSATZ• Beim Betreiben oder Warten dieses Werkzeuges stets

Augenschutz tragen.• Beim Betreiben dieses Werkzeuges stets Gehörschutz

tragen.• Hände, lose Bekleidungsstücke und lange Haare vom

rotierenden Ende des Werkzeuges fernhalten.• Vor der Inbetriebnahme auf die Position des

Umsteuerhebels achten, damit bei Betätigen derDrossel die Drehrichtung schon bekannt ist.

• Bei Start und Betrieb eines Werkzeuges auf plötzlicheRückwirkungen achten und darauf vorbereitet sein.

• Während des Betreibens für festen Halt sorgen undden Körper nicht zu weit nach vorne beugen. BeiBetrieb mit empfohlenem oder niedrigeremLuftdruck können hohe Reaktionsdrehmomenteauftreten.

• Nach dem Loslassen des Drückers kann die Welle desWerkzeugs noch kurz weiterdrehen.

• Druckluftbetriebene Werkzeuge können während desBetriebs vibrieren. Vibrationen, häufige gleichförmige

Bewegungen oder unbequeme Positionen könnenschädlich für Hände und Arme sein. BeiUnbehagen,Kribbeln oder Schmerzen das Werkzeugnicht mehr benutzen. Vor dem erneutenArbeiten mitdemWerkzeug ärztliche Hilfe aufsuchen.

• Stets von Ingersoll--Rand empfohlenes Zubehörverwenden.

• Nur Schlagschrauber--Steckschlüssel und --Zubehörverwenden. Keine Hand--Steckschlüssel (Chrom) oder--Zubehör verwenden.

• Schlagschrauber sind keine Drehmoment- schrauber.Verbindungen, die ein bestimmtes Drehmomenterfordern, müssen nach dem Anziehen mit demSchlagschrauber mit Hilfe eines Drehmomentegrätesüberprüft werden.

• Das Werkzeug ist nicht für die Arbeit in explosivenAtmosphären geeignet.

• Dieses Werkzeug ist nicht gegen elektrischen Schlagisoliert.

• Vermeiden Sie, sich den Schadstoffen auszusetzen unddie Schadstoffe einzuatmen, die bei Verwendung vonElektro-- und Druckluftwerkzeugen freigesetztwerden:

Bei der Nutzung von Maschinen zum Schleifen,Sägen, Trennschleifen, Bohren und weiterenTätigkeiten auf dem Bausektor entstehen Stäube,die ihrerseits Chemikalien enthalten, diebekanntermaßen Krebs, Schädigungen derNachkommen oder andere Schädigungen desmenschlichen Reproduktionssystemsverursachen. Zu Beispielen für diese Chemikalienzählen:-- Blei, freigesetzt aus bleihaltigenAnstrichstoffen,

-- Kristallines Silikat, abgegeben von Ziegelnund Zement sowie weiteren Baustoffen und

-- Arsen und Chrom, freigesetzt aus chemischbehandelten Hölzern.

Die durch solche Aussetzungen bedingten Risikenfür die Gesundheit unterscheiden sich je nach derHäufigkeit, mit der solche Tätigkeitendurchgeführt werden. Um die Aussetzung zudiesen chemischen Stoffen herabzusetzen, sindfolgende Maßnahmen zu ergreifen: Alle Arbeitensind in gut belüfteten Bereichen durchzuführenund bei allen Arbeiten sind zugelassenepersönliche Schutzausrüstungen zu tragen.Hierzu gehören beispielsweiseAtemschutzmasken, die spezifisch auf dasHerausfiltern mikroskopisch kleiner Partikelausgelegt sind.

ACHTUNG

Schlagschrauber sind keine Drehmomentschrauber.Verbindungen, die ein bestimmtes Drehmomenterfordern, müssen nach dem Anziehen mit demSchlagschrauber mit Hilfe eines Drehmomentegrätesüberprüft werden.

Schlagschrauber Modell 216 verfügen über einenLeistungsregler zum Einstellen der Nutzleistung in beideRichtungen. Zum Einstellen der Leistung wirdfolgendermaßen vorgegangen:

Der REgler weist keine Einkerbungen oder andereMarkierung auf. Die Erfahrung zeigt, wie weit derRegler gedreht werden muß, um die Leistung desSchlagschraubers zu senken.

Für Höchstleistung in beide Richtungen den komplettenLuftregler (23) am unteren Ende des Griffes vollständignach außen drehen.Für verringerte Leistung in beide Richtungen denkompletten Luftregler (23) am unteren Ende des Griffes soeinstellen, daß die gewünschte Leistung erreicht wird.

Das Werkzeug stets mit einem Leitungsöler verwenden.Es wird folgende Filter--Regler--Öler--Kombinationempfohlen:

Wird kein Leitungsöler verwendet, nach jeweils achtBetriebsstunden das Werkzeug von der Druckluft-versorgung abschalten und etwa 1,5 Öl in dieEinlaßbuchse einspritzen (14).

Nach jeweils achtundvierzig Betriebstunden oder jenach Erfahrung die Ölkammerschraube (4) entfernen unddie Ölkammer des Schlagmechanismus mit demempfohlenen Öl füllen.

MESSA IN SERVIZIO DELL’ATTREZZO• Usare, ispezionare e mantenere sempre quest’attrezzo

secondo tutti i regolamenti (locali, statali, federali enazionali), che possano essere applicabili agli attrezzia mano pneumatici.

• Per sicurezza, massime prestazioni e massimadurabilità delle parti, usare quest’attrezzo ad unamassima pressione d’aria di 90 psig (6,2 bar/620 kPa) all’ingresso con un flessibile di alimentazionedell’aria con diametro interno di 5/16” (8 mm).

• Disinserire sempre l’alimentazione aria e staccare ilrelativo tubo dall’attrezzo, prima di installare, togliereo regolare qualsiasi accessorio, oppure prima dieseguire qualsiasi operazione di manutenzionedell’attrezzo.

• Non adoperare tubi e raccordi danneggiati, consunti odeteriorati.

• Assicurarsi che tutti i tubi ed i raccordi siano dellecorrette dimensioni e saldamente serrati. Consultareil disegno TPD905--1 per una tipica disposizione deitubi.

• Usare sempre aria pulita ed asciutta alla pressionemax di 90 psig. Polvere, fumi corrosivi e/o un eccessodi umidità possono rovinare il motore di un attrezzopneumatico.

• Non lubrificare gli utensili con liquidi infiammabili ovolatili come kerosene, gasolio o combustibile peraviogetti.

• Non togliere nessuna etichetta. Sostituire eventualietichette danneggiate.

COME USARE L’ATTREZZO• Indossare sempre degli occhiali protettivi quando si

adopera questo attrezzo o se ne esegue lamanutenzione.

• Indossare sempre delle cuffie protettive quando siadopera questo attrezzo.

• Tenere le mani, gli indumenti sciolti ed i capelli lunghidistanti dall’estremità battente dell’attrezzo.

• Notare la posizione della leva d’inversione prima diazionare l’attrezzo in modo da essere consci delladirezione di ruotazione quando si aziona l’immissione.

• Fare attenzione e cercare di anticipare improvvisevariazioni di movimento durante l’avviamento e l’usodi qualsiasi utensile pneumatico.

• Nell’usare l’attrezzo, mantenere con il corpo unaposizione salda e ben bilanciata. Non sbilanciarsi

durante l’uso di questo attrezzo. Delle elevate reazionidi coppia si possono verificare alla pressione d’ariaraccomandata o inferiore.

• L’accessorio dell’utensile potrebbe continuare afunzionare brevemente dopo che è stata disinserital’immissione.

• Gli attrezzi pneumatici possono vibrare durante l’uso.Le vibrazioni, i movimenti ripetitivi o le posizioniscomode possono risultare dannosi per le mani e lebraccia. La polvere causata da smerigliatura, segatura,macinatura, trapanatura e altre attività relativealla costruzione contiene sostanze chimiche notecome cause di cancro, di menomazioni allanascita o di altri danni legati alla riproduzione.Tali sostanze chimiche sono, ad esempio:-- vernici a base di piombo,-- silice cristallina derivante da mattoni ecemento e altri prodotti per muratura,

-- arsenico e cromo derivanti da legnametrattato chimicamente.

I rischi causati dalle esposizioni variano in basealla frequenza con cui viene eseguito questo tipodi lavori. Per ridurre l’esposizione a tali sostanzechimiche: lavorare in una zona ben ventilata, conattrezzature di sicurezza approvate come lemaschere per protezione dalla polvere progettatespecificamente per eliminare con il filtro leparticelle microscopiche.

Le chiavi ad impulsi modelli 216 incorporano unmeccanismo regolatore di potenza che consenteall’operatore di dosare l’erogazione di potenza inentrambe le direzioni. Per regolare la potenza, procederenel modo seguente:

Non ci sono arresti o marchi sul regolatore. In baseall’esperienza si determinerà l’entità della rotazionenecessaria per disattivare la chiave ad impulsi.

Per ottenere la massima erogazione di potenza inentrambe le direzioni, ruotare il complessivo delregolatore aria, ubicato in fondo all’impugnatura, fino allaposizione di massima potenza.Per ridurre l’erogazione di potenza in entrambe ledirezioni, selezionare la potenza richiesta ruotando ilcomplessivo del regolatore aria, ubicato in fondoall’impugnatura, fino a selezionare approssimativamentela coppia richiesta.

Con questi attrezzi usare sempre un lubrificatore di linea.Si raccomanda l’uso del seguente gruppofiltro--regolatore--lubrificatore:

Dopo ogni otto ore di funzionamento, a meno vengautilizzato un lubrificatore di linea, staccare il tubodell’aria ed iniettare circa 1--1/2 cc d’olio nella boccola dientrata (14).

USO DE HERRAMIENTA

• Use siempre protección ocular cuando maneje, orealice operaciones de mantenimiento a, estaherramienta.

• Use siempre protección para los oídos cuando manejeesta herramienta.

• Mantenga las manos, la ropa suelta y el cabello largoalejados del extremo giratorio de la herramienta.

• Note la posición de la palanca de inversión antes defuncionar la herramienta para estar consciente de sudirección giratoria cuando funcione el estrangulador.

• Anticipe y esté alerta a los cambios repentinos en elmovimiento durante la puesta en marcha y el manejode toda herramienta motorizada.

• Mantenga una postura de cuerpo equilibrada y firme.No estire demasiado los brazos al manejar la

Ciertos tipos de polvo que se producen al lijar,serruchar, rectificar o taladrar y durante otrasactividades de la construcción contienensustancias químicas que son conocidos comocausantes de cáncer, defectos de nacimiento yotros daños reproductivos. Algunos ejemplos deestas sustancias químicas:-- el plomo de las pinturas con base de plomo,-- la sílice cristalina de ladrillos y hormigón yotros productos asociados con la albañilería,y

-- el arsénico y el cromo que produce la maderasometida a tratamientos químicos.

El riesgo a la persona que presenta unaexposición de este tipo varia en función de lafrecuencia con que se realiza esta clase detrabajo. Para reducir la exposición a estassustancias químicas: trabaje en una zona bienventilada y utilice equipo de protecciónhomologado, por ejemplo una mascarillaespecialmente diseñada para filtrar partículasmicroscópicas.

AJUSTESCOLOCACION DE REGULADOR DEPOTENCIA

Las llaves de impacto no son llaves de par. Las unionesque requieran pares específicos deberán sercomprobadas con un torsiómetro después de haberlasfijado con una llave de impacto.

La Llave de Impacto Modelo 216 incorpora un mecanismoregulador de potencia que permite que el operario regulela potencia en ambas direcciones. Para ajuste de potencia,proceda como sigue:

No hay topes ni marcas en el Regulador. La experienciadictará las vueltas necesarias para disminuir lapotencia de Llave de Impacto.

Para completa potencia en ambas direcciones, gire elConjunto de Regulador de Aire (23), en la parte inferiorde empuñadura a su completa posición afuera.

Para potencia reducida en ambas direcciones,seleccione la potencia requerida girando el Conjunto deRegulador de Aire (23), en la parte inferior deempuñadura, hasta seleccionar la apropiada posición depotencia.

De Type 216 Slagmoersleutel is ontworpen voor het verrichten van belangrijkeonderhoudswerkzaamheden aan remmen, uitlaatsystemen en voorkanten van automobielen.Ingersoll--Rand is niet aansprakelijk voor door de klant aangebrachte veranderingen aan degereedschappen voor toepassingen waarover met Ingersoll--Rand geen voorafgaand overlegwerd gepleegd.

INGEBRUIKNEMING VAN HET GEREEDSCHAP• Dit gereedschap altijd bedienen, controleren en

onderhouden in overeenstemming met allevoorschriften (plaatselijk, staat, federaal en land), diebetrekking hebben op hand--gehouden/hand--bediende pneumatische gereedschappen.

• Voor veiligheid, topprestatie, en maximalebestendigheid van de onderdelen dit gereedschaplaten werken bij een maximale luchtdruk van90 psig (6.2 bar/620 kPa) bij een inlaat met eenluchttoevoerslang, die een inwendige diameter van5/16” (8 mm) heeft.

• Men dient te allen tijde de luchtinlaat af te sluiten ende luchttoevoerslang te ontkoppelen voordat enig deelaan dit gereedschap wordt aangebracht, verwijderdof afgesteld, of voordat enig onderhoud aan ditgereedschap mag worden uitgevoerd.

• Geen beschadigde, gerafelde of versleten luchtslangenof fittingen gebruiken.

• Zorg ervoor dat alle slangen en fittingen de juisteafmetingen hebben en goed zijn vastgemaakt. Zietekening TPD905--1 voor een typisch leidingnet.

• Altijd schone, droge lucht gebruiken bij eenmaximum luchtdruk van 90 psig. Stof--corroderendeuitwasemingen en/of te grote vochtigheid kan demotor van een drukluchtgereedschap ruïneren.

• De gereedschappen niet smeren met ontvlambare ofvluchtige vloeistoffen als petroleum, diesel of(straal)vliegtuigbrandstoffen

• Geen typeplaatjes verwijderen. Beschadigdetypeplaatjes moeten worden vervangen.

GEBRUIK VAN HET GEREEDSCHAP• U moet te allen tijde oogbeschermers dragen wanneer

u dit gereedschap bedient of eronderhoudswerkzaamheden aan uitvoert.

• Altijd oorbeschermers dragen wanneer ditgereedschap wordt bediend.

• Houd handen, losse kleding of lang haar weg van hetdraaiende eind van het gereedschap.

• Voordat het gereedschap in gebruik wordt genomeneerst op de stand van de omkeerhendel letten zodat ude draairichting kent wanneer de regelaar wordtgebruikt.

• Let op en anticipeer op een plotselinge verandering inde werking van persluchtgereedschap zowel tijdens destart als gedurende het in bedrijf zijn.

• Steeds in een goede houding staan. Als u hetgereedschap bedient mag U zich niet te veruitstrekken. Hoge reactiekoppels kunnen voorkomenbij of beneden de aanbevolen luchtdruk.

• De as van het gereedschap kan even blijvendoordraaien nadat de bediening is losgelaten.

• Persluchtgereedschappen kunnen tijdens gebruikervan trillen. Trillingen, zich herhalende bewegingen,of ongemakkelijke houdingen kunnen schadelijk zijnvoor uw handen en armen. Stop met bediening vanenig gereedschap wanneer u ongemak, een tintelendgevoel of pijn ervaart. Zoek medisch advies alvorenswerk te hervatten.

• Uitsluitend de door Ingersoll--Rand aanbevolenbijbehorende onderdelen en hulpstukken gebruiken.

• Uitsluitend moerdoppen voor slagmoersleutels enbijbehorende delen gebruiken. Geenhandmoersleutels (chroom) of bijbehorende delengebruiken.

• Slagmoersleutels zijn geen momentsleutels.Aansluitingen die een specifiek koppel nodig hebbenmoeten, nadat zij met een slagmoersleutel zijnaangebracht, met een momentsleutel wordengecontroleerd.

• Dit gereedschap is niet ontworpen om er mee inexplosieve omgevingen te werken.

• Dit gereedschap is niet geïsoleerd tegen elektrischeschokken.

• Voorkom blootstelling aan en inademen vanschadelijke stoffen een deeltjes die vrijkomen bijgebruik van elektrisch gereedschap:

De stof die veroorzaakt wordt door schuren,zagen, afslijpen en boren met elektrischgereedschap, alsmede andereconstructiewerkzaamheden, bevat chemicaliëndie bekend staan als kankerverwekkend en diegeboorteafwijkingen of andere voor devoortplanting nadelige gevolgen kunnen hebben.Enkele van deze chemicaliën zijn:-- lood uit loodhoudende verf ;-- kristallijnsilica in baksteen, cement enandere metselwerkproducten;

-- arsenicum en chroom in met chemicaliënbehandeld timmerhout.

De risicofactor op grond van deze blootstellingenvarieert, afhankelijk van de regelmaat waarmee udeze werkzaamheden verricht. De blootstellingaan deze chemicaliën kan als volgt wordengereduceerd: werk in een goed geventileerderuimte en met goedgekeurdebeschermingsmiddelen, zoals stofmaskers diespecifiek ontworpen zijn voor het uitfilteren vanmicroscopische deeltjes.

Het gebruiken van andere dan originele Ingersoll--Rand onderdelen kan gevaar opleveren voor de veiligheid, en eenverminderingmet zich brengen van het prestatievermogenvan het gereedschap eneen toenemingvan het onderhoud ervan, enkan een vervallen van alle garantie--bepalingen tot gevolg hebben.Reparaties mogen uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd door hiertoe gemachtigd en geschoold personeel. Men dient te allen tijde deluchtinlaat af te sluiten en deluchttoevoerslang teontkoppelen voordat enig deelaan dit gereedschap wordtaangebracht, verwijderd ofafgesteld, of voordat enigonderhoud aan dit gereedschapmag worden uitgevoerd.

Persluchtgereedscappen kunnentijdens gebruik ervan trillen.Trillingen, zich herhalendebewegingen, of ongemakkelijke hou-dingen kunnen schadelijk zijn vooruw handen en armen. Slagmoersleutels zijn geen momentsleutels.Aansluitingen die een specifiek koppel nodig hebbenmoeten, nadat zij met een slagmoersleutel zijnaangebracht, met een momentsleutel wordengecontroleerd.

De Typen 216 Slagmoersleutels hebben ingebouwd eenkrachtregulator die de gebruiker toestaat devermogensuitgang in beide richtingen te regelen. Hetvermogen wordt op de volgende wijze afgesteld:

Er bevinden zich geen pallen of merktekens op deRegelaar. De met de Regelaar opgedane ervaring zal dehoeveelheid draai aangeven nodig om het vermogenvoor de Slagmoersleutel naar beneden te brengen.

Voor vol vermogen in beide richtingen, de Luchtregelaar(23) aan de onderkant van de hendel ronddraaien tot devolle uit stand.Voor verminderd vermogen in beide richtingen kan hetgewenst vermogen worden verkregen door deLuchtregelaar (23), aan de onderkant van de hendel, zover te draaien tot de gewenste vermogensafstelling isbereikt.

Men moet steeds een in--lijn aangeslotendrukluchtsmeerinrichting gebruiken. Wij bevelen u devolgende Filter--Smeerinrichting-- Regeleenheid aan:

Na elke acht bedrijfsuren, tenzij een in--lijn olienevelaarwordt gebruikt, de luchtslang losmaken en ongeveer1--1/2 cc Olie in de Bus voor de Inlaat (14) spuiten.

Na elke acht--en--veertig bedrijfsuren, of zoals depraktijk u heeft geleerd, de Plug voor de Oliekamer (4)verwijderen en de Oliekamer voor het slagmechanismevullen met de voor dit doel aanbevolen olie.
