Air Traffic Management (ATM) The objective in this area is to support the timely implementation of the SES and in particular to support the deployment of SESAR, its technological pillar.
General Objectives – for this call…
5
The actions to be supported in this domain should: • Support the development of those air navigation and other services and activities, other than air traffic services, that are linked to and support the provision of air traffic services and that have the highest potential for improving efficiency when provided on the basis of market principles and improved customer value at regional, FABs and/or central level.
Specific Objectives
6
….and,
• The supported actions should aim to identify the infrastructure needs for these potential services and explore and demonstrate the most efficient means of deploying and managing such infrastructure so that the services could be provided in consistency with the SES legal framework and SESAR deployment.
Specific Objectives (2)
7
….plus,
• Facilitate the activities and processes that are necessary to initiate the industrialisation of ATM functionalities included in the common projects defined in Regulation (EU)409/2013;
• Facilitate those activities that implement the Interim
Deployment Programme under the IDSG and prepare for the transition to SESAR deployment.
Specific Objectives (3)
8
• Costs incurred between the 1st January 2013 and the completion date, which must be 31 December 2015 at the latest, may be considered as eligible.
• In addition, indirect costs* may be eligible for flat rate funding fixed at no more than 7% of total direct eligible costs.
*Costs, which are not identifiable as direct costs but are incurred in connection with the eligible direct costs of the action

Common Projects
Identify & aim to deploy ATM functionalities that:
• Contribute to achieving the ATM Master plan essential operational changes
• Are mature enough for industrialisation & implementation
• Require a synchronised deployment
11
Deployment Governance
Aims to define & ensure the timely & synchronised implementation of common
projects
