HIGHLIGHT – CAR MAY 2016

Car sales rose by 10.80% (33,564 units) to 344,308 from Year to date May 2015 to Year to date May 2016. Car sales rose by 29.31% (16,520 units) to 72,878 from May 2015 to May 2016.

TOYOTA was the best selling manufacturer with 30,957 units and 42.48% of the market, a 40.24% gain compared to May 2015.

The TOYOTA AVANZA was the best selling model with 9,627 units, a 81.57% increase on May 2015.

Largest falls for the The Big 5 League were from SUZUKI with -17.35% respectively compared to May 2015.

Light Commercial Vehicle sales fell by 29.20% (-27,997 units) to 67,880 from Year to date May 2015 to Year to date May 2016. Light Commercial Vehicle sales fell by 42.48% (-7,400 units) to 10,018 from May 2015 to May 2016.

DAIHATSU was the best selling manufacturer with 3,619 units and 36.12% of the market, a 37.37% fall compared to May 2015.

The DAIHATSU GRAN MAX was the best selling model with 3,619 units, a -37.37% decrease on May 2015.

Largest falls for The Top Leagues members were from SUZUKI, TOYOTA, DAIHATSU with -55.88%, -38.94%, -37.37% respectively compared to May 2015.
