What are TeachStreet Search Results? A listings of
relevant results in 3 tabs:– Classes– Teachers– Articles
Each tab ranks results based upon relevance, teacher quality (based upon # of and quality of reviews), # of active listings and other criteria such as having a photo and match to the query itself.

Both classes and Teachers have a “Featured Teacher” listing where one qualifies.
How we rank results
TeachStreet search results are primarily ranked by relevance to the search query.

Listings •Relevance is determined by- match to listing title,- subject of listing,- subject of instructor•Listing status – active or expired? How long ago did it start?•Instructor status as defined by site activity:- writing article- comments- rating - # of reviews
Teachers•Relevance is determined by category associated with Teacher relevancy match to query•Results are sorted to show the most relevant teachers who are:- active- have reviews- have written posts- have photos - have currently active classes.
Articles•Relevance to search query•Recency of post•Images (or videos) associated with article (preference is given to posts with images) •# of comments on article
Getting in to Google TeachStreet
profile pages and class listings appear regularly in Google Search results
Profiles and listings with detailed descriptions perform best.

Featured Teacher Selection Criteria
– Must have an average review score above 3.5 stars
– Must have a photo– Must have an active class
in related subject of query or subject of page
– Ranks higher if teacher has articles and reviews
The top teachers who meet the criteria above are displayed on Subject pages, and rotated into the feature teacher slot 6

section from your profile or your listing description shows up in search
