Goods Requirements

How to submit goods

(for Indian based trade)

Stones submitted for the Melee Testing Service must adhere to the following requirements.

• Cut - round brilliant only • Colour - colourless to near colourless (D-L)• Size – 0.0013 – 0.200 cts

Stones must be further divided within this range such that a Lot only contains stones within the following size bands.

0.0013ct – 0.0019ct (equivalent size band 60 – 70mm)0.0020ct – 0.0029ct (equivalent size band 71 – 80mm)0.0030ct – 0.0037ct (equivalent size band 81 – 90mm)

0.0038ct – 0.0049ct (equivalent size band 91 – 100mm)0.005ct – 0.010ct (equivalent size band 101 – 130mm)0.011ct – 0.022ct (equivalent size band 131 – 190mm)0.023ct – 0.050ct (equivalent size band 191 – 220mm)0.051ct – 0.091ct (equivalent size band 221 – 305mm)0.092ct – 0.154ct (equivalent size band 306 – 340mm)0.155ct – 0.200ct (equivalent size band 341 – 385mm)

A rejection fee will be charged for each Lot that contains stones that have not been accurately separated into the above size bands.

• Clean – any Lot containing dirty or greasy stones will be rejected and a INR 325 fee will be charged per Lot. To avoid this stones should be cleaned in an acid bath or with Ethyl Alcohol prior to being sent to the lab.

Once you have been supplied with a user log on, please go to www.iidgr.com and log in via the ‘Client Area’. Once you are logged in the service area will become available.

• Size band of this Lot – a Lot can only contain stones that fall into one of these size bands.

• Total weight of this Lot - total carat weight of stones in this Lot. This cannot exceed 500cts. • Insurance value of this Lot in INR

Please read the Terms and Conditions then tick the box to accept these and submit the shipment.

You will then see an acknowledgement screen with your Shipment Code. This will be emailed to you along with a summary of the details you entered.

Attached to that email will be a PDF with the information you submitted for each Lot in the Shipment. Please print these and securely attach the correct label to each of your Lots – see PACKING GOODS FOR DELIVERY TO THE LAB. A shipment is limited to 10 Lots of any of the size bands listed above. If you would like to submit more than 10 Lots, you will have to split these in two and go through the above process twice to receive two separate Shipment Codes.

PACKING GOODS FOR DELIVERY TO THE LAB

Please submit goods to the lab as per the following packing requirements:• 1 x zip-lock bag for each Lot – these will have the labels attached to them;• 1 x sealed bag for each Shipment – these will contain all the Lots you are sending in one Shipment;

Our lab in Surat does not permit hand deliveries. All shipments should be sent via Malca or Brinks. You should pay for a return shipment - round trip

MELEE TESTINGYou will receive an email from the lab acknowledging that your shipment has arrived at Surat.

Do not contact the lab - send any queries to surattesting@iidgr.com quoting your Shipment code.

REASONS FOR REJECTION

• Packaging wrong – i.e. handwritten labels, not accepted• Incorrectsizebands(duetoinvoicingissues.Youwillreceiveanemailfromthelabtoconfirmthatyouare happy to proceed with the testing on your shipment within the new size bands) • Incorrectweights(thismaymeanthesizebanddiffersfromwhatyouwereexpecting.Youwillreceivean emailfromthelabtoconfirmthatyouarehappytoproceedwiththetestingonyourshipmentatthenew weight) • Dirty stones

HOW WILL MY SHIPMENT BE RETURNED TO ME

Each Lot will be returned subdivided (as per the results) into the following categories.

Pass

The diamonds contained in this sealed parcel have been screened by the International InstituteofDiamondGrading&Researchandareverifiedasbeingneithersyntheticnorsimulants.Shouldthesealofthisparcelnolongerbeintactthevalidityoftheverificationisno longer assured.

Synthetic U

The contents of this sealed parcel have been screened by the International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research and have been found to have characteristics overlapping with those of some synthetic diamonds. Highly detailed testing is required to determine whether they are synthetic. Should the seal of this parcel no longer be intact the validity of this classificationisnolongerassured.

SyntheticThe contents of this sealed parcel have been screened by the International Institute of DiamondGrading&Researchandareclassifiedasbeingsyntheticdiamond.Shouldthesealofthisparcelnolongerbeintactthevalidityofthisclassificationisnolongerassured.

SimulantThe contents of this sealed parcel have been screened by the International Institute of DiamondGrading&Researchandareclassifiedasbeingsimulants.Shouldthesealofthisparcelnolongerbeintactthevalidityofthisclassificationisnolongerassured.

Unscreened Any / All rejected Lots – the whole Lot would be returned under this label.

MELEE TESTINGEach category will be in a separate zip-lock bag and this will be placed in an individual tamper-proof bag.

Should the seal of any of the tamper-proof and/or zip-lock bags not be intact when your shipment is returned to you,thevalidityoftheverificationisnolongerassured.Likewise,ifyouthenopenthetamper-evidentbagthe

validityoftheverificationissimilarlynolongerassured.

INVOICING

You will be invoiced monthly in US$. You will receive one invoice per shipment. Your invoice, together with a backup sheet detailing each Shipment, will be emailed to the Key Contact and Finance Contact email addresses you

provided on your IIDGR Melee Testing Customer Information Form.
