LSS Updates

• Management Boot Camp• In week four of seven• Managers are observed and given continuous feedback to help track progress and acquire new LSS skills in production management

• LSS Master Black Belt Kathi Sill is measured on the managers' adoption and implementation of management tools

• Managers and Kathi are held to increased production expectations• Stop‐at‐Quant

• Enables us to discontinue testing samples that are unlikely to yield interpretable DNA results, saves time and resources

• There has been ~30% reduction in the labor hours needed per output and as high as a 78% increase case output for analysts using only casework that has Stop‐at‐Quant data

• Projected that by end of June all cases will be processed using Stop‐at‐Quant data

Approximately 300 legacy toxicology analysis cases that preceded HFSC were closed out in February. With the collaboration of HPD, no analysis was conducted, but reports were issued with instructions for ordering analysis should it be needed.
