If you are ever going to cop a reality check though, Round 1 is the best time for this to happen as it gives the club plenty of time to re assess and attack the rest of the year. The senior squad came out and played strong Imperials football for the first half trailing by less then a goal at the main break. Full of run and led by strong performances from young players Mitchell Lienert and Jacob Rance the boys looked set for a strong second half. However after that the wheels fell off and a polished Mannum unit put us to the sword. All is not lost and the great thing about football is the boys get a chance to redeem themselves this week against Mypolonga who are also coming off a big loss. The Reserves battled strongly but an improved Mannum reserves team took the chocolates on a breezy Saturday Arvo. Will Leonard was a strong figure for the boys while it was great to see Austin Johns in his senior debut snag four goals. The Under 17’s and Under 15’s had good first up performances with the Under 15’s getting the chocolates while the Under 17’s couldn’t string their best football together for long enough. Sprock and Johnny will be looking for strong performances this week against Mypolonga who always field strong junior teams. It’s great to be home! Go You Blues! 150 League Games for Daniel Girdham This game is a significant milestone for one of our most courageous players in Daniel Girdham who plays his 150th A grade game making him eligible for the coveted club life membership. Rarely missing a game, even playing with broken ribs and other significant injuries, his fearless attack on the ball is only matched by his resilience. Winner of the RMFL player of the year and Imperial Club Champion a combined total of four times along with premierships in 2009 and 2011, Daniel has made an outstanding contribution to the club. A dedicated father to two gorgeous daughters Ivory and Opal will run out today with the respect and admiration of a grateful club. Well done Girdy and have a ripping game today ! ROUND 2 9th April 2016

After an exciting preseason full of hope and excitement, Round One brought us crashing down to Earth as we were humbled by a very strong Football Club in Mannum. If you are ever going to cop a reality check though, Round 1 is the best time for this to happen as it gives the club plenty of time to re assess and     attack the rest of the year.

The senior squad came out and played strong Imperials football for the first half trailing by less then a goal at the main break. Full of run and led by strong per‐formances from young players Mitchell Lienert and Jacob Rance the boys looked set for a strong second half.

The Under 17’s and Under 15’s had good first up performances with the Under 15’s getting the chocolates while the Under 17’s couldn’t string their best foot‐ball together for long enough. Sprock and Johnny will be looking for strong performances this week against Mypolonga who always field strong junior teams.

It’s great to be home!

Welcome to the Club!

Leith Marston  Nick Wundke  James Wundke

Welcome to all the players, officials and spectators to the first home game of the year. It is always a busy day around the ground  with volunteers being pulled in    different directions but make sure you take the time to watch some of the netball as this is going to be a day for some close games.  Mypolonga and Imperials have      always been a good round as both clubs are strong with numbers and talent and this year is no different to the previous. Imperials seniors are coming off of some good wins at Mannum last week and looking at the results Mypolonga had to fight hard to get some of theirs. Both clubs will be determined to dominate the day and I am sure it will come down to the wire.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Lucy Marsh a speedy recovery. It is    always hard to see a fellow club player fall hard but its particularly hard when its one of our juniors. We hope to see you back out on the court soon Lucy!

Congratulations to Alicia & Nathan Williams on the safe arrival of baby girl Zara and to past players of the club Alicia & Jason Puiatti of the arrival of baby boy Ethan and Sam Redden & Rachel on the arrival of baby boy Lewis.

Tonight at the clubrooms we have our first social event with the Junior disco. This is an opportunity to bring the kids up to join in the games and fun whilst the parents can sit back and relax. The A Reserve team will be cooking up a storm in the kitchen with Steak on the menu and nuggets for the kids. Presentations will kick off at 6pm so get in early to make sure you get a good seat.

Good luck to all players today I hope you can bring home the win!
