IFBI placed 6500+ candidates in the year 2013-2014 in ICICI group across various roles. Out of which
4400+ students started their career with ICICI Bank through IFBI’s PGDBO program and the rest in Phone Bank-
ing and Sales Officer roles. Mr. Bimal Jain, President IFBI said, ―We have a close relationship with ICICI Bank
since 2006. FY-14
was a year of im-
mense expansion at
ICICI Bank and we
are glad we could
support the business
and manpower requirements at scale‖. IFBI trained the students on Customer Services, Selling Skills and Business
Development . The students are also trained on Finacle software, customized e-learning and simulator and bank-

The IFBI-ICICI story continues to go strong !
IFBI bags Leadership Training assignment from Indian Overseas Bank IFBI recently won a prestigious order from Indian Overseas Bank to train Scale II and Scale III Officers
in Management Development Program. It was one of the most significant programs that IFBI conducted and the
first of its kind—4 days residential program for a PSU at a
Managerial level and it involved around 500 participants
across 4 locations. The 1st batch was successfully executed
@ Kanchipuram from 3rd Feb – 6th Feb 2014 and it was
followed by 13 more batches at different locations of Kan-
chipuram, Delhi - NCR, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.
Under this program the IOB Managers were taught Leader-
ship styles, team manage-
ment, setting goals, driving
results and customer service.
The following faculty mem-
bers were instrumental in
the success of this program:
Mr Ramakrishnan, Mr Ramesh, Mr Rathindra Banerjee, Mr Trevor Fernandes, Mr
Awni Ranjan, Mr Avijit Roy, Mr Prabir Bose, Ms Charu and Mr Mankad assisted
by many other senior content and domain experts.

IFBI Chennai center had conducted a memorable 6th convocation ceremony on 23th Feb at Hotel Chen-
nai Delux, Chennai. It was a fantastic evening with alumni, parents, staff and guests. There were 87 alumni who
received their certificates. Mr. T.M Ramani, Retd. General Manag-
er, City Union Bank was the Chief Guest. Others on the dais were
Mrs Porkodi Palani, Mr V. Kabaleeswaran (Academic Co-
ordinator) and Mr Bennet Gordon (Territory Head, South)
Mr. Ramani congratulated the graduating batch of IFBI
and wished them success in their career. He spoke at length on im-
mense opportunities, various roles and career paths available in the
banking sector in India. During the talk, he emphasized on the
growing needs of professionally trained and job-ready manpower
required by the industry.
Speaking at the
event one of the
alumni, Mr.
Sunil .V.P, Assistant Branch Manager @ ICICI Bank Ernakulam
said that the IFBI candidates who come to work in ICICI bank have
the right aptitude to work and good knowledge on banking and
banking products. He said he had recommended to the ICICI HR
team to recruit employees for his branch only from IFBI !
Post the graduation ceremony, there was a grand high tea
arranged for all the guests.
IFBI Pune conducted its 1st ever ―Celebrating IFBI Alumni
Success Event‖ on 9th Mar 2014 at Hotel Coronet, Pune. Amongst
the invitees were Mr. Paritosh Sinha, Vice President, Yes Bank and
Mr. Rajesh Acharya, Deputy Vice President, HDFC Bank and 2
HODs and 2 Training Placement Coordinators from esteemed col-
leges of Pune. Apart from these, we had the main stars of the day—
OUR ALUMNI who are now working with reputed banks and finan-
cial organizations. The event started with felicitation of Guests of
Honor followed by lighting of lamp to inaugurate the function. The
stars of the day, our alumni were welcomed by Ms. Meghna Mishra
(Area Head, Pune) who also gave a glimpse of IFBI and its progress
through the IFBI video.
Our current students also gave an exhilarating dance performance to welcome the invitees. This was
followed by an inspiring talk from our senior most faculty Mr. Neelkandan who shared his experience about IFBI
Pune since its inception. Next was the main event for the day of felicitating the alumni. It was a MOMENT OF
PRIDE for all of us as the alumni were coming on dais one by one and their success stories were displayed on the
screen. During the felicitation process, one of our alumni— Mr. Paritosh shared “ To be successful as a banker, one
has to be passionate, keep on acquiring knowledge and should remain positive especially during adverse circum-
stances. Relevant certifications will always help to do the job more professionally to the utmost satisfaction of the
customers.” Another Alumni—Mr. Rajesh Acharya said “IFBI has
marked today 25000 placements and within comparatively less time it
would scale up to many folds. I anticipate IFBI to touch 2,50,000
placements in another 5 years.”
The event concluded with vote of thanks from Mr. Amitabh
Chattoraj (Academic Co-ordinator, Pune) who gave a message,
“Guru Gobind dono khade kaku lage pao,
Balihari guru aapka Gobind dio chinhay”.

On 23rd Mar 2014 IFBI Hyderabad conducted an alumni meet. In spite of the fact that it was so far the
hottest day of the month, our alumni ensured to reach
the venue without fail and without any delay. The
function started with high tea and refreshments, how-
ever as the evening settled in it became a little pleas-
ant and more and more alumni poured in.
Amongst the invitees, was our main Guest of
Honour, Mr Anjaneylu, AGM SBI. He was more than
thrilled to be a part of this event and touched upon
important areas for student development during his
keynote address.
The event began with the traditional
―Lighting of the Lamp‖ followed by a Devotional
prayer song. Audience was welcomed and the staff
explained the progress that IFBI had made. The time
then arrived, when the main activity of the evening started ―THE CONVOCATION‖, where students smartly
dressed in their robe and cap came up and collected their certificates from our esteemed Chief Guest and senior
faculty members.
The current students entertained our guests with a short play titled ―IFBI’s GOT TALENT‖, it was a
spoof of the Indian version hit show ―India’s got talent‖. It had a local flavor and a lot of comedy which kept the
audience in splits throughout. To conclude, a vote of thanks was shared by Ms Sujatha, faculty. IFBI Hyderabad
team is all all geared up to make the next Alumni Meet/Convocation event even BIGGER !
IFBI Kolkata successfully conducted their
very first ―Alumni Event‖ where alumni participated
across various banks like: ICICI Bank, Axis Bank,
IndusInd Bank etc. Event started with lightning the
lamp of knowledge followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Ms. Surmayee Shirsath (Territory Head) took the
audience through the entire journey of last 7 years. A
short cultural program was organized which was fol-
lowed by the Alumni felicitation process. Mr. Avijit
Roy and Ms. Lakshmi Madhavan (Academic Co-
coordinator’s) did present the small token of gift to
our Alma-mater. The event was concluded by VOTE
OF THANKS shared by Ms. Lakshmi and followed
by High Tea. The event concluded with the group
photograph, IFBI Team and Faculty Members. This
was undoubtedly one of the most memorable mo-
ments in the history of IFBI.
News from the World of IFBI
IFBI Bangalore conducted alumni event cum
convocation . It was a fantastic evening where more than
60 alumni were present to mark this event. Needless to
say, they all came from different banks, however one thing
which was common across all of them was that, they start-
ed their career through IFBI. Alumni shared some very
interesting incidents of their work life and culture at
banks. They also spoke about how IFBI transformed their
life and gave a jump start to their career and how they
moved up the ladder using the knowledge which was im-
parted to them during their stint at IFBI. Alumni were
very exuberant to meet their faculty members during this
event. The entire team at NIIT IFBI Bangalore had co-
ordinated commendably in a short span of time playing
the ―PERFECT HOST‖ to the homecoming Alumni.

IFBI conducts refresher training for
Bank of Baroda employees
IFBI has successfully conducted refresher
training for Bank of Baroda employees across vari-
ous locations. More than 4100 employees were
trained under this training which was spread across
31 locations. IFBI faculty members conducted the
training which was well appreciated by the BOB
employees. Seen above are IFBI faculty members
with the batches at Vidya Knowledge Park, Meerut
location (above) and at Bhopal (below).
IFBI commences 2nd BANK OF BHUTAN batch
Bank of Bhutan’s 2nd batch @IFBI commenced on
13th January 2014 with the introductory sessions being taken
by Mr.Avijit Roy and Ms.Lakshmi Madhavan. The content
included advanced banking topics based on the feedback
from the Bank and taking into account that the trainees were
experienced. For the ISAS presentation, the batch was divid-
ed into four groups and topics were allotted viz. Relevance
of Customer
Service, Credit
Cards, Savings
Accounts,
Fixed Deposits.
All the groups
had taken keen
efforts in sourc-
ing information
and preparing
presentations in
PPT formats for the topics allotted to each group. Assess-
ment on various parameters was conducted on Content cov-
erage and Query handling. Topics related to Bhutanese Fi-
nancial Regulations, Risk Management, Insurance, Equity
Markets, Customer Service and Sales Orientation and Sell-
ing Skills were also covered during the program.
The Trainees enjoyed their sessions on Quality
Customer Service and Selling Skills. They were shown
IFBI’s PGDB videos on selling skills. Students were asked
to do a role play selling a product as per the Handouts of
Role Plays( effort was taken to see that the role play had the
Bhutanese scenario and Bhutanese product) that were given
to them. It was heartening to note that the participants actu-
ally scripted their role plays as per the guidance and prac-
ticed cross selling and learnt immensely in the process. Mr.
Prabir Bose (main faculty) handled the session with the sup-
port from Mr. Anup Ray and Ms.Lakshmi Madhavan.
Job fair activities for ICICI Sales Officer Programs
IFBI’s JO Sales team had been engaged in various job
fair activities across different locations to do the sourcing for
CRBSM program. One such job fair was held at Universal Group
of Institutions, Lalru, Punjab where many students attended the
fair from nearby locations of Punjab and Haryana state in search
or a job. Around 15 organizations participated in this job fair, out
of which NIIT IFBI was one. There were around 50 candidates
who were interested for ICICI Bank Sales Profile. Post the suc-
cessful completion of the selection process, IFBI was able to pick
candidates from this institute who are now successfully placed
with ICICI Bank.
Another such activity was conducted at Baba Farid
Group of Institutions, Bathinda wherein the enquiry footfall for
ICICI JO Profile was around 80+. Participating in this event had certainly further strengthened the ties between
the institution and NIIT IFBI.
The GCC Campus @ Bangalore boasts about the successful
completion of 20 batches which have been executed at the campus
from Nov 2012. Candi-
dates are selected through
a stringent process to en-
ter the CRBSM
(Certificate in Retail
Banking and Sales Man-
agement) program. The
selects are trained on Eng-
lish language , Account
opening process, KYC
norms adherence and re-
lated modules thereby transforming them in flat 26 days to have all the
confidence in taking the challenges of selling the Banking product. The trainees are covered under medical insur-
ance from the date of joining at our training center. So far, 625 students have been trained @ GCC Campus.
Thanksgiving organized by IFBI Delhi students Students of PGDB+ batch (B140012/16) organized a thanks
giving party for the Faculty members and center staff of IFBI Con-
naught place, Delhi.

IFBI has launched their 1st batch
for CCBSM program (for Kotak Mahindra
Bank Lim-
ited) at Ah-
medabad

batch started with
17 candidates on
19th May 2014,
where senior mem-
bers from Kotak
Corporate HR team

Vidya Knowledge Park Meerut from the 7th
to the 12 February, 2014.
As Head of the ICICI Bank JO
Sales Academies, he visited the Academies
across the country. He spent 6 days at our
Meerut Academy (Vidya Knowledge Park)
and during that period he shared his vast
knowledge in training. He shared the expec-
tations of ICICI Bank. The academy orga-
nized a Sports meet (cricket match) in which
Mr. Rudra participated whole hearted-
ly. The students enjoyed the exciting summer activity on a busy winter Sunday !.

formed this Puja, with
whole hearted participation from the existing students, staff
members and faculties of IFBI. All the students turned up in
traditional attires and took very keen interest starting from deco-
ration to performing puja rituals.

IFBI enrolls students for customized training program with City Union Bank
IFBI Chennai did a pilot program for City Union Bank. The program was launched with an objective of
hiring first and then training the candidates for Priority Bankers/HNI sales roles @ CUB. Selection process in-
cluded IFBI’s test and Interview process followed by Aptitude Test and HR Interview by CUB Panel. Under this
train and hire model, 67 students have been selected by CUB for Probationary Clerks for Marketing Priority and
Trainee clerks for Operations .
April May 2014 flash news IFBI placed 1215 students in the month of
Apr and May 2014. More than 1000 stu-
dents have started their career with ICICI
Bank in last 2 months.
Top three IFBI Centers where highest num-
ber of ICICI Bank joining happened in this
period were Hyderabad (80), Ahmedabad
(67) and Chennai (45).
