Running

Running has helped me to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Working long hours in a stressful environment can have negative

physical and mental effects. Running relives stress and allows me to be happier and more efficient in the workplace.

I have set a personal goal to participate in two marathons per year. Running in marathons requires patience and motivation. When

faced with a challenge, whether personal, academic or professional, I apply the skills, and lessons, learned in training and tell myself to

“just keep going”.

Soccer

I was fortunate to grow up with parents who encouraged participation in sports and extracurricular activities. I began playing soccer at a young age and continue to play today. I represented both my high school and city at a

competitive level. I currently play for

a women’s and co-ed club in Calgary.

Soccer has taught me the importance of teamwork and competitive spirit. I approach group projects and tasks with the same methodology I apply

during the game.

I have developed great friendships with teammates throughout the years. These friendships have become invaluable in my personal life.
