Are the People in the Grave Alive or Waiting?

Introduction

I am not going to talk about ghosts or soon to come zombies. I can assure you that is not the case. I am going to talk about heaven and hell, and where the dead people are going and if they are already there.

Think

Have you ever thought if people are in the grave waiting for the day of judgment or if there already at there destination. Whatever the destination the question is if their there or not. Now I could be wrong but when you sleep the night has at least some length to it. But when you are dead, wouldn't time fly. The very moment you died it would be judgment day.

Think

I think it would be safe to reason that ever since Able died the first death we are in a time crunch. Now in John 3:13 The Lord says, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” The Bible also says in, Acts 2:34 David did not ascend to heaven at death, but awaits the coming of Jesus and the first resurrection.

But in second Kings 2:11 it says, And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

So this leaves one to the conclusion that only some people are in heaven with God looking down at us waiting. However, it depends on witch heaven one is talking about. The first heaven is what we are in right now. The second heaven is in space where all the sun moon and stars float around. Now the third heaven is where God, the angels, and Elijah dwell.

Conclusion

Once again this is just my point of view and I am only giving my opinion.
