The Regional meet was held this Friday, May 16. While weather

wasn’t necessarily optimal our girls performed very well with many hitting big Personal Records. Placing 7th for the Lady Vikings was Marilyn Gallegos in the 1 Mile Run, and Chelsea Byrd in the 100 M Dash. The 4x400 Relay of Byrd, Gallegos, Yabira Rodriguez and Alyssa Kaboni finished 4th in one of the most exciting races they have ran all year. Our lone State Qualifier for the year is Chelsea Byrd as she continues her dominance in the Long Jump by taking 1st place.

Sophomore standout Allison Weber posted a hat trick to lead

the Bangor Vikings to an 8-0 win over the River Valley Mustangs. The Mustangs struggled to get something going against the pressuring Lady Vikings but it just was not to be. With a 3-0 lead in hand, Bangor emptied the bench to rest starters and give patient bench players much needed playing experience. The reserves did not disappoint, holding the Mustangs scoreless the rest of the way. Goals by Destiny Perry, Maggie Ring, Marissa Carpio, Emily Bus and Fiori McGuire rounded off the scoring binge. With starting goalkeeper Mel Tromotola on the bench, backup keeper and future starter freshman Olivia Moore made some great saves in the second half.

David Lamp explains why he opened T & D Embroidery and how he chose Bangor as his new location: “In January of 2010 I decided to open T & D Embroidery after working at several other embroidery shops and seeing the lack of passion for customer service. I now have over 8 years experience in the apparel decoration industry. When I started the company I was strictly a contract embroiderer for other screen printers, doing the work out of my garage. Soon a demand for embroidery encouraged me to expand the business which enabled me to work with the customers face to face. In the past year I have expanded my business from exclusively embroidery to screen printing and dye sublimation. During this process I ended up buying out a screen printer in Grand Rapids and, as a result, ended up needing a larger space to accommodate this new expansion. A key factor that brought us to Bangor was the ability to triple our space at a lower rent cost.
