“Why is the traffic so bad? Overall Responses Together

- There are many cars on the roads- Thailand doesn’t have strict and important law enforcements- A lot of illegal parking blocks half the roads- Food Vendors take up space- Accidents and break downs- Pedestrians Crossing the roads

“How often are you affected by illegal road parking to the extent where it increasing traffic?”

- It takes up a lot of space on the road and doesn’t give us much space- Pedestrians have to walk on the roads which makes us stop because illegal

parking mostly takes place on side walks

Methodology For Investigation

Why did I choose to do pictures as one of my investigation methods?Pictures can speak for words and can provide support for my writing and show evidence to my writing. Taking pictures can help to identify and notice the problem of movement through traffic in Bangkok. Pictures can also help to see the causes and affects of traffic in Bangkok that can be included in the writing. Therefore, pictures was a great choice of investigating into this topic and finding out the small problems that cause traffic in Bangkok.

Why did I choose to interview local drivers as one of my investigation methods?I chose to interview local drivers as one of my methods to investigate as it can help me to find out what happens everyday on the roads of Bangkok. I chose this to ask what actually happens so that I can gain accurate information and support it in my writing when writing the state of the soi. Interviewing has helped me gather a lot of information on what happens and I was easily able to apply the results gained onto my essay.

Why did I choose observations as one of my investigation methods?Observation can help me to identify the state and condition of the soi. It can help me look at the problems the soi is facing and what is causing so much traffic jams. For example, I found out that pedestrians crossing the roads and illegal parking affect traffic jams and less people in one car affect the traffic, as there is an increase of private car owners that causes traffic.
