Gustavo is a very active Champion of the Analytics Community and it’s currently the Sr. Director of Research in the Global People Analytics team for Walmart, Inc. His responsibilities entail all associate research activities across the globe. Some of these initiatives include: manage a 2 million + associate engagement program, associate social media research, technology adoption, enterprise culture & inclusion research. Prior to that, he worked for the multi-channel strategy analytics team for Customer Insights. He had extensive experience performing advanced analytics, designed new measurement systems, traditional marketing analytics and strategic analytics support.

Business outcome oriented leader with over 17 years of HR experience touching all facets of the discipline including expertise in strategy development, measurement and tactical execution programs within Fortune 500 organizations. I serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership in the identification and prioritization of people and business opportunities aligned with the achievement of short and long term organizational goals.

Robert Lanning has spent the past 30 years delivering proactive research, insights, and analytic solutions across the entire enterprise across multiple industries. Robert’s leadership skills, results in fully engaged, developed, and focused teams that produce and are recognized as the best in their industry. Currently, Robert leads the People Analytics team at Tesoro Corporation in San Antonio, Texas.
