TOTAL SUMMER SCHOOL, WHAT IS AT STAKE?

• create a rich HUMAN MEETING (120 students, 30 different nationalities)

• make them feel and experience what it’s like working in a MULTICULTURAL environment

• PRESENT TOTAL to a young audience of futures leaders and raise awareness among them

• Achieve a HR OBJECTIVE OF LOCAL PRE-RECRUITMENT

• MAKE THESE STUDENTS TOTAL’s AMBASSADORS towards their peers, in their respective countries

…PRESENTATIONS TO DISCOVER THE GROUP

• Internal and external speakers tackle all the big issues of Total:

– Research and development – Human resources– Sustainable development– Strategy– Future of energy– Etc.

• Opportunities for the participants to discuss and exchange with top managers from Total and to enrich their understanding of the energy sector.

…PARTICIPATION TO A “THINK TANK” CHALLENGE

• In teams, students are invited to answer to a critical question for Total

• 2014 assignment:“Look ahead and tell the story of the world over the next 30 years. What important events do you think will happen and what impact will they have on our industry / the world? Will we see a domino effect?”

• At the end of the week, students have to present their teamwork to a jury made of executive committee members and internal experts.

…SOCIAL TOOLS TO PROMOTE AND DYNAMIZE THE EVENT

• A social wall to put all the participant in the shoes of animators of the event: they can share pictures, videos and tweets on the social networks that will appear on a live wall.

• A dedicated Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/totalsummerschool) to share their experience, comments, testimonies and to keep in touch with all the participants of past editions.

• In the middle of the week, the participants are invited to visit the headquarters of Total at la Défense

1/ « speed meetings » with employees of the Group to discover the different career paths and expertise at Total

2/ 2h of « discovery workshops » to understand innovation at Total and the energy and strategic issues of the Group
