I started my online journey with nothing, and over time I earned money

from the internet and used the same money to build my online business.

Before you continue, I want you to see the proof, so that you know I talk

See I got 700 targeted visitors on Saturday alone. Now think what would,

700 visitors will mean to you? They could be your loyal fans; they could be

people who will purchase from you and they could be potential business

leads looking for you.

And they are targeted visitors who are specially looking for YOU. You must

be thinking that how much does it costs to have such number? Advertise

wise if I pay 30 cents to send each visitor, then for 700 visitors a day I have

to pay $210 daily! This means roughly $6,000 per month. And this is not it,

ad visitors convert so hard. This means if 100 visitors visit your site, maybe

1 or 2 will purchase from you. And for many ad positions you have to pay

higher fees.

Don’t stress yourself because I haven’t paid a cent to anyone for those

targeted hits. It’s all boiled down to the internet marketing magic that works

each and every time.

Setting Up Your First Website

Setting up your website is required to make money online. For a website

we need 2 things. A domain name (yourname.com) and a hosting account

to host your web pages.

Purchase a domain name: Go to GoDaddy and register a domain name

for yourself. Before you choose a name, think carefully because once you

set it up, you cannot change it. You can go for YourName.com. If your

name is taken, then you can add some extra words to it like

YourNameOfficial.com or YourNameOnline.com. Keep it simple and

remember to always choose a .com name.

Register or log in to GoDaddy and search for your name. Complete the

process and purchase the name. Domain name costs around $10 a year

and I recommend you to register your name for 2-3 years in advance.

Otherwise you may forget to renew next year and lose the name.

Tip: I want you to save some money; before you check out, when you are

on the final step about to make the payment –Go to RetailMeNot.Com and

look for GoDaddy. See there are lots of coupon codes.

Signing up for a web hosting account: After you have completed your

purchase you are ready to go with your web hosting account.

Go to HostGator and sign up for a hosting plan. What you should be

looking here is shared web hosting. Go and see the plans. The “Baby” plan

is ideal for you. Avoid all the marketing bullshit, you will be paying around

10 dollars a month if you go for monthly; if you go for a 1 year plan then the

pay will be 9 dollars a month.

Proceed to the order page and fill up your information and purchase the

web hosting. When they ask for the domain, select that you have a domain

(the one you got from GoDaddy) at every cost get “Baby” plan. The main

difference between the hatching and baby plan is the number of sites you

can host. In hatching you can build only one site where in baby you can

have as many websites in the single account as you wish.

Info: You must be thinking why I suggested you to get domain from

GoDaddy and hosting from HostGator, where you can get both from one

company? The reason is GoDaddy suck at web hosting and HostGator will

charge $15 a year for domain + they may hold your domain if you ever wish

to change hosts.

Tip: A web hosting account is essential for running a web business, so this

means you have to pay for it anyways. But you can always save money

with the service. If you pay for 1 or 2 years in advance, you can save even

more by applying a 25% OFF coupon code:

After your web hosting is set up, it should take a couple of days processing

the forms and the server, you should be able to login to your account they

provided.

Go and login to your web hosting account. You should find your login data

here in the email they sent you:


Since your domain name is not set up, you have to login using this

alternative address. Take note on your name-servers. We will need it when

we setup your domain.

Input your username and password and login to your account. This is what

your control panel will look like:


Now you will need to go to your GoDaddy account for setting up the

domain with your new hosting account. Login to your domain account and

select the “launch” button next to your domain:

Go and click “Set Nameservers”

Now select “I have specific nameservers for my domains.” and input

your nameservers in the correct order:


When your domain is setup, your login URL to your web hosting account

will be http://yourname.com/cpanel

It may take a few hours for your domain to work properly with your web

hosting. The best way to know is when you will type your domain in your

web browser and see a blank page; that is when you know that your

domain is setup on your host.

Setting up your website: Now that you have your domain name and web

hosting set up, you will need to have your own website. There are many

ways to setup a website, but the easiest and the most recommended option

is to build a website using WordPress. Wordpress is free software for web

page and blogs. It is widely used and very popular.

To setup your website, go to your web hosting control panel and go to

“fantastico” under softwares/services:


In the next page, select wordpress and then new install:

In the form, select your domain. Here I think you only have 1 domain setup

so choose that one. Leave the “directory” field blank.

Then select your username, password, site name, description and admin

email address:


After you are done, click “Install Wordpress” and then click “finish

installation” in the next window to complete the installation.

Now this is how your site will look like after you finish:

Still very basic and plain, we would like to give it a professional rockstar

look. Go here to see your back panel of your site: yourname.com/wp-

admin, remember to replace yourname.com with your actual domain


name. Now log in using the username and password you specified in the

installation process. This is how your dashboard looks (this one is mine):

Now to add a new page to your website, click on pages and add new:

Now you will see a text area where you should write your page:


When you are done, all you have to do next is to “Publish” post:


Now one by one create all the pages you need for your website. For a start

you can create home, about me, contact, links and as many pages as you

wish to. If you want to make a particular page as your homepage, and get

rid of that blog section that wordpress uses as the homepage, do this:

Go to settings > reading:

Now in the “Front page displays” select “A static page (select below)” and

from the front page select the new page you just created or from the other

pages you have. And then click Save Changes.

Designing your website: Now you have a website and you have the

pages but now what? Your website looks plain and dull; let us give it a

stunning look. And for this you don’t have to learn code or have to spend

thousands of dollars hiring a designer. Let us do it the easy and cheap way.


Go to ThemeForest and look their inventory of great designs:

You can find awesome templates for your website and most of these

designs cost as low as 30-35 dollars. Think of it, just for a standard 35

bucks you will have a mind blowing design for your website! Select a

theme, purchase it and then download the file on your computer.

Go to appearance > themes:

Now click on “Install themes” and click “upload”

Click on “Choose file” to locate the theme file you downloaded from theme

forest. Make sure it is in .ZIP format. (It is one single file)

After the upload is done you should see the option to activate it. Click to

activate it and see your new website in the new look:


See just how easily you gave your website a new makeover! How easy and

quick it was. You may now invest a few hours on your new site to configure

it for your own needs such as you need to add your own logo and setup the

widget areas. They offer a detailed step by step documentation so you can

configure your new design to fit your needs.

Now that you have your very own domain, web hosting and website ready,

it is time for you to move on to making money from it.


Making Money from Your Website

If you have skills in copywriting, consulting, business building, law, medical

or anything else, you can offer these services on your website. The best

way to make money online is to sell your services. Build a couple of pages

on your website and offer your services.

Now if you have no skills at all, you still know how to setup domain, web

hosting and then setting up a template (through this ebook). So if nothing

else, you still know how to setup websites and there are plenty of people

out there on the real world who want this done.

At a bare minimum, you can make a good 100 bucks in every website

setting up and even more! All you have to do is to present your services to

the right people. Create a page explaining your services. To sell these

services and receive payment from your clients you can setup a PayPal

shopping button. Just sign up for PayPal business account and you will be

able to have your e-commerce buttons.

Have these buttons next to your solutions and when people purchase your

service just get in touch with them and get it done –it’s as simple as this!

Finding Your First Clients

To start getting clients, use your website to showcase & explain everything

you got. People are always looking for solutions on the internet so your site

will have a chance to pop up when they search. Also use social media sites

like Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin to further promote your services.

In the beginning it won’t be easy for you to find clients on your own, so

what you can do is to join marketplaces.

I recommend one site which is oDesk. Go and sign up for a free account

and complete your contractor profile. Put your services and apply for jobs

that are relevant to your field. After a few try you should be able to secure

some clients. If not, it's certainly not the end of the world!

Other marketplaces you can try are Elance, Freelancer & 99Designs

Fiverr is another marketplace where you can sell your services for 5

dollars. It’s not much but the point is you want to get the word out and

connect with lots of people and network with them. So fiverr may not make

you rich but it is worth exploring and to get experience in your work.

Better if you can create videos. Upload your videos on YouTube and

embed them on your blog post. People are searching for the information

and you will receive hits to your site and inquiries.

When you keep writing on your blog, promote these articles on your

facebook page, twitter account and google plus profile.

Keep doing what you know and you should be able to make $500 each

month online at a bare minimum.

Once you are making some extra money online, you just have to find more

creative ways to scale it to $1,000-$10,000

Services Are Not The Only Way!

Throughout this ebook I shared how you can make money by offering your

services. I did this because this is by far the best way to make money from

the internet without spending/learning much. You can use what you already

know from the real world and sell that service.

For an example if you are a Lawyer, you can take your real life expertise

online and get clients. There is more than one way to make money online.

However offering services is not the only way! You can write reviews or

articles about your favorite band, TV show or brand and make money with

Google Adsense. Adsense puts some text ads and when web visitors click

on those ads, you will make money.

You can also become an affiliate and make money for every sale you

make. You can join EBay or Amazon as an affiliate and sell their items on

your website.

You can drop ship. Dropshipping is like setting up an online store on your

website. When you get an order, you then purchase the item from the

vendor and ship it.

You can also learn how to code and make apps for smartphones. Then you

can put these apps on the app stores and make money with in-app

purchases or with paid apps.

The bottom line is there is no limit of opportunities when it comes to internet

marketing. So go ahead and make some money out there!
