How to Set up your iCloud Account

1. Go to settings on your home screen.

2. Select iCloud on the left hand screen. Then if you already have an account set up through iCloud

or iTunes, feel free to sign in and skip to step 18. If you’d like to set up a new account, select,

“Get a Free Apple ID.”

3. Enter your birthday. Then select Next.

4. Enter your first and last name and select next.

5. Decide if you’d like to use an email address you already have, or if you’d like to create a new

email address through iCloud. We recommend you use your district email address. Then hit

next.

6. Enter your email address and select next.

7. Create your password and enter it twice. Notice there are specifications about your password.

It must be at least 8 characters and include a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase

letter. Then hit next.

8. Select three apple security questions and write in the answers. None of the answers or

questions can be the same. Please write this information down somewhere if you will have

trouble remembering it. Then hit next.

9. If you think you will forget any of those answers or would like a backup plan just in case, add in

a recovery email and this would help you reset your password in the future. This is OPTIONAL.

10. If you would like email updates, turn this on. If you do not want email updates, slide the gray

button to off. Then hit next.

11. Read the tersm and conditions. If youd like a copy, feel free to “Send by Email” so you have a

copy for your records. To accept the terms and conditions, close your keyboard.

12. Agree to the terms and conditions to move forward. If you disagree, you will start back at the

beginning. Then a popup will occur to ask if you truly agree.

13. Then your set up is almost complete. You know have to verify your account through your email

address.

14. Log into your email and open the message from apple. Click on “Verify Now.”

15. Login with your apple ID you just created to verify your account.

16. Once you verify address, you will receive this message.

17. Go back to settings.

18. Select “Ok” so that you can turn on “Find my iPad.” Your iCloud account is now set up.
