How to Guide: Completing the Housing Application
Once you have been accepted to the University, you
will log into myLEO with your student ID and
password. Your password for the first logon is your
birthday MMDDYY.
While we are transitioning to the new myLEO, you may choose to use
the new or old.
New myLEO: You will find the Housing
Application under the Student Services folder
in the left sidebar. Select “Apply for
Residential Living and Learning”.
Old myLEO: You will find the Housing Application
under the Residential Living and Learning header by
selecting “Lion’s Den – Student Housing Application”.
Once you have selected the application, you
will be taken to new site. Your name, email
address, and current classification are listed
on the left. The classification listed will
determine which housing facilities are
available to you. If you believe the
classification is wrong, please contact the
Residential Living and Learning office at
903-886-5797.
Select “Application” in the top left corner.
1. Term Selector: Choose the contract you
would like to complete. Pay attention to
the years - the dates for the academic
years are listed to help you. Once
selected, choose “save & continue’.
2. Select “save & continue”.
The individual contracts may have a few different
questions but the flow will be the same. As you read the
text, make selections, and choose “save & continue”, you
will move down the Application Menu. If you have to stop
at any point and return later, you can return the section
you last saved by choosing it in the left Application Menu.
It is very important to visit each section. As you “save &
continue” the site will automatically take you to the next
section.
Application Menu: 1. Welcome
- Once you have read the information, select “save &
continue” to begin your application.
Application Menu: 2. Personal Detail
- Verify the information on file is accurate.
- Any discrepancies must be discussed with
the Registrar office.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 3. Special Needs
- Complete the fields as needed.
- Please note that special accommodations
must be filed through the Student Disability
Resources and Services office.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 4. Profile
- Complete each question.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 5. Room Preferences
- At this time, only Phase II (the new
Sophomore Hall) will be available
- Select “save & continue”
Application Menu: 6. Roommate Profile
- If you would like to be included in the
roommate searching process, complete the
indicated fields.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 7. Roommate Requests
- View any requests you’ve received.
- Search for potential roommates.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 8. Application Fee
- While titled application fee, this is a
prepayment that will be credited to your Fall
2013 housing. It is nonrefundable.
- This fee must be paid before you can select a
specific room.
- Select “Pay Now”.
- You will be taken to a new secure page to
pay with a credit card.

Application Menu: 9. Room Selection
- Each bed space available will be shown
here.
- Select the building Phase II
- All the available rooms for the building
will be displayed. Phase II only has
double suites available. The number
below the “Double – Beds” column will
indicate the number of spaces available.
There are two open spaces if “2” is listed
and one open space if “1” is listed.
- To view a current occupant, select the
room and then select “save & continue”.
- On the next screen, select the magnifying
glass icon to view room details.
- Once done viewing details, select the close icon at the
top right corner to return to the previous screen.
- Once the room of choice is highlighted, select “save
& continue”.
- Each room in Phase II have single bedrooms
that correspond to A or B. Select which
bedroom for the room you want.
- Due to the ability for multiple students being
the stystem at once, this screen has a 5
minute time limit.
- Select “reserve beds”.
Application Menu: 10. Academic Year Contract Agreement
- Read the entire document.
o Please note that the contract is for
the academic year and includes fall
and spring semesters.
- Check “I agree to the terms of the
contract”.
- Type in your name as an electronic
signature.
- Select “save & continue”.
Application Menu: 11. Meal Plan
- Meal Plan rates have not been set yet. You will receive an email when this portion is available.
Meal Plans are not required for second year residents.
Application Menu: Application Status
- This page will display the standing and details of your application. You can return to this page
at any time to determine your information.
Application Menu: 12. Room Swap
- Once you have completed the process,
you can look at other room options
without losing your current selection.
- Room Swap works in the same fashion
as Menu 9. Room Selection.
- Highlight the room of interest, select
“save & continue”, select the
magnifying glass icon to view current
occupant, and then select closed icon.
- If wishing to pursue a room swap,
highlight the room desired, select “save
& continue”. On the next page, choose
the A or B room and then swap rooms.
- You can continue to use the Room Swap during the allotted time for the early reapplication.
