After you click on the Download button, it will take you to the Export and Download screen where you have two options:

1. Save a section of the book as a PDF, which makes it “accessible on most computers and devices, including the Kin-dle, without additional software” (from the Ebrary site). This means you can save a chapter (or two or three), or you can save a range of pages (maximum 60). This is a great option for those of you who have devices that can read and open PDF files. If you want to read the book on your Kindle or Apple device (iPod, iPhone, iPad), choose this option.

2. The second option is to download Adobe Digital Editions (free download) to your device so that you can read the whole book. There is a 14 day rental period for books obtained via this option. This option provides you with the com-plete book. The drawback is that most of the popular e-readers like Kindle and the iPad, don’t support Adobe Digital Editions. Here is a list of all the devices that do support Adoble Digital Editions (some popular ones- the Nook, Kobo, Sony Reader).

To learn more about downloading books to your device, visit Ebrary’s Knowledge Base at http://support.ebrary.com/category/english/download

Once you have an account, you’ll notice as you view books that each one now includes a Download button.
