•Good looking, brave male. He is seriously injured or
killed trying to save the rest of the group. Love interest
of the main female character.
•Falsely brave, self absorbed bully. True colours are
revealed in light of their perilous situation.
•Promiscuous, selfish, “dumb blonde”. Feminist critics
would see her death as cathartic.
•Shy, overly scared character. Often dies in the end
after a build up of her panic.

Six friends, and one night out at an abandoned house
they will never forget. A game of spin the bottle
plummets into a desperate struggle for survival, as
someone is killing off the players. They don’t have
long to discover who isn’t playing by the rules.
The death of a long lost relative is not the usual occasion to celebrate, but
Faye (Frankie-Rose Taylor) and friends thought the empty house would be
the perfect venue for a teenage thrill. With boyfriend Aaron (George
Sceats), the flirtatious Rachel (Theresa Jones) and submissive best friend
Alice (Sonia Naqvi), Faye arrives at Kyle (Magne D’Mellow) and Lacey’s
(Michaella Ashley) house party.
After dancing, drinking and romancing, the friends are ready for a game of
truth. Spin the bottle. But someone is slowly killing off the players. The fun
night out plummets into a desperate struggle for survival and a race to
discover who isn’t playing by the rules.
Faye:
We subvert stereotypes by having a
brave female character. Not a
stereotypical, squeamish girl and
determined to help the other
characters. Dating Aaron.
Played by Frankie-Rose Taylor
Aaron:
Main, brave male character
stereotype. Always tries to help the
rest of the group. Dating Faye.
May be played by George Sceats.
Rachel:
Promiscuous blonde stereotype.
Starts off seeming nice and her
bullying of best friend Alice is not
noticed. Her true colours are
revealed. On and off relationship with
Kyle.
May be played by Theresa Jones.
Kyle:
“Jerk” male stereotype. His true
character (coward) is not seen until
further into the film. On and off
relationship with Rachel and brother
to Lacey.
May be played by Magne D’Mellow.
Lacey:
Not one of the common characters.
She is suspected as the killer as she
seems odd, is not a close friend of
the other characters and her drunken
state makes her seem suspicious.
She is only at the party because she
is the sister of Kyle.
Played by Michaella Ashley.
Alice:
Doesn’t follow any of the
stereotypes. Shy, quiet and best
friends with Rachel. She is the killer
and her motivation is jealousy of the
other characters, especially Fay, and
being bullied and dominated by
Rachel. She is not suspected by the
other characters and the revelation of
her as the killer is a shock to the
viewer.
Played by Sonia Naqvi.
